** The third season is confirmed to have [[ComicBook/FantasticFour The Thing]] as part of the cast. This is surprising to older Marvel fans, as this is the first acknowledgment of the Fantastic Four in animated Marvel media since ''WesternAnimation/HulkAndTheAgentsOfSmash''. Promotional artwork for season 3 also shows that [[WesternAnimation/TheFantasticFour1978 H.E.R.B.I.E]] will also appear as well.

* SpiritualAdaptation: Due to the SuperDeformed character designs, the show being targeted for a Preschool audience, and it featuring other Marvel superheroes besides Spider-Man and anyone else related to him, ''Spidey and His Amazing Friends'' is probably the closest we'll ever get to a cartoon show for the old ''Spider-Man & Friends'' toyline.

Fixing a typo... though that bit about Kamala is definitely YMMV, as I'm not surprised she's here at all, she appeared in the previous Spider-Man cartoon too and is one of Mile's best pals in the comics.
