* TheScrappy: Allison gets a lot of dislike for her behavior in the second half of season 1. She is very selfish and ungrateful towards Todd, even when he goes to bat for her despite being TheUnFavorite, and she inexplicably wants to cheat on her NiceGuy husband. When confronted on why she does these things, she admits she doesn't really know, making her seem whiny, childish, and poorly written. This continues in season 2, where, despite their roles being reversed and Todd generously helping her, she continues to be extremely selfish and ungrateful, even leveraging her willingness to help in his cases to extort him out of more money.

** Beverly Crest was liked for her TricksterMentor role to Margaret in season 1, but her behavior in season 2 has left many fans scratching their heads. It's revealed she not only made Maragaret named partner knowing that the firm was going under but immediately put her in charge of solving this unsolvable problem, and repeatedly gives Margaret difficult last-minute cases that stress her out further. Moreover, she's undermining Margaret's relationship with Susan. All of this makes it look like she's setting up Margaret to fail, [[{{Flanderize}} Flanderizing]] her into a much less sympathetic figure, and raises the question of why she's sabotaging the person trying to save her own firm.

Didn't realize Idiot Plot had been designated flame bait.

* IdiotPlot: Episode 1x14, "Against All Todds". Veronica comes to Todd begging for one last favor before she disappears from his life forever, which he accepts. That's understandable; it's everything he does ''afterwards'' that's unbelievably idiotic. Even after [[spoiler:discovering the whole thing is a FrameUp]], Todd continues chasing Veronica's assistant and believes everything she says. Despite Margaret telling him he's a gullible idiot, ''Margaret herself'' goes along with it, and makes no attempt to [[spoiler:disguise or legally protect herself before entering ''an illegal gambling ring'', despite knowing Veronica already used this exact tactic as a trap against Todd earlier in the episode]]. Moreover, despite prior episodes establishing that Todd records everything, he conveniently forgot to do this [[spoiler:during his initial conversation with Veronica, despite knowing Veronica is a ManipulativeBastard]], probably because [[WeCouldHaveAvoidedAllThis it would have resolved the plot instantly if he had]]. To cap it all off, the ending of the episode reveals [[spoiler:Veronica somehow got her assistant arrested for her crimes in her place, despite them looking nothing alike]], extending the IdiotBall to the entire court system.

Cool Loser TRS cleanup, has been renamed to Unconvincingly Unpopular Character and is a YMMV audience reaction.

* EnsembleDarkhorse: Lyle, Todd’s BlackAndNerdy rival at the office, is an amusing {{Adorkable}} foil to CoolLoser Todd.

** Aunt Patty's MotorMouth and scatterbrained behavior could easily be symptoms of ADHD, and her love of infodumping is once again a common trait of autistics.

* DiagnosedByTheAudience:
** Allison's husband Chuck is a very awkward conversationalist and has a lot of trouble reading social cues. This leads some fans to believe he is autistic.
** Likewise, Lawrence has so much trouble with natural conversation that Todd disparagingly calls him a robot, and he gets very hung up on InsistentTerminology for even trivial things. These also line up with autistic behavior patterns.
