* HarsherInHindsight: The 2020 April Fools' event involved Chester and his allies pulling a HeelFaceTurn and siding with the heroes in order to save their dimension from Dremagen. Just two weeks later it was announced that the game will be shutting down, so Chester's dimension (in a sense) is about to be destroyed after all... and to make matters worse, the game's finale events have Chester and his allies as {{Bonus Boss}}es, so even their Heel-Face Turns didn't last.

** Due to ''VideoGame/AlteredBeast'' getting two reps in the form of Werewolf and Weredragon, people figured that both Werebear and Weretiger would be the next two candidates, since they both are also alternate forms of the Centurion from the original game and as such would even the roster out. Instead, the perceived formula was broken when the Blue Hero turned out to be the BigBad Neff, ''in his Van Vader form with his WesternAnimation/WreckItRalph design no less!''

* AuthorsSavingThrow:
** Despite the controversy surrounding the June 2019 patch which brought a ton of nerfs, the one nerf the fanbase could unanimously agree on was the removal of the passive skill the Buzz Bomber enemies had which granted them a permanent dodge chance and replacing it with an additional effect on their main attack which grants them a temporary dodge chance which can be affected by Dispel. The Sorcerors also had the duration of their Clock tiles increased from 2 to 6, making them far easier to deal with.
** The introduction of Milestones to energy-based events was very well received, as not only did it give players free resources for how many trophies they gathered, but it also gave them a good amount of Hero shards.
** An update to how energy-based events worked was widely-accepted by several players in time zones outside of the one the game runs. In case the event starts when most players are asleep, the starting amount of energy is less than half of the max amount, but clearing the first stage gives you 100 energy to continue as normal. The Milestones were also lowered.
** After every user was affected by a glitch which caused the current event to reset before the scheduled reset and kept most of them stuck on Stage 1, 300 gems were sent out to everyone two days after the event as an apology.
** Before the game's first anniversary, many players who managed to reach the final Campaign level were disappointed to discover that you couldn't fight Dremagen at all. She was eventually patched in on the game's first anniversary as a boss on the final level as well as an event.
** The December 11th 2019 update changed the amount of shards required to unlock a character to be the same as a Common character (aside from Legendary rarity characters, which now require the same as the old Rare requirement) at the cost of starting at 1 star, allowing many players to complete their roster easily.
** After several controversial events which had Legendary nodes only fulfillable by having certain unlocked Heroes which were often the ultra-rare Captains, the Kamurocho Shakedown event was extremely generous in initial rewards, giving up to 315 Kazuma Kiryu shards for completing all the standard nodes once and basically granting Espio for free through the Legendary nodes which now permit any Hero regardless of the event's lineup.

Editing chuih in game breaker

** Chuih is a healer version of this for survival and can be bought with survival tokens. In other modes, his single-character regen isn’t as helpful against group attacks, and getting your rally level up to 3 for his team-wise regen before any of your characters (including Chuih) fall can be challenging. Come survival, where your rally level and MAX bars carry over to every future fight in the run, and in just a couple of stages, you have a character that can heal your entire party a lot over 5 turns every time “Strength in Numbers” is ready, and he can use it to give the team regen before potentially being stunned or silenced. You can also save it and use it at the start of the next battle for easy and safe health regen. This can bring your initial group of characters very far or even to the end of your run.
