** Taehyung has a clear HeroicBSOD by the time Seokjin finds him, [[spoiler:being arrested for killing his abusive father.]] His very first scene in the Prologue has him in tears, [[spoiler:staring in shock at what he just did]]. We find out that he lives in a poor, abusive home, with an AlcoholicDad and MissingMom. [[spoiler:The last cycle we see doesn't go well for him, accidentally stabbing Seokjin while the latter tried to stop him from killing his father, with the last shot of the loop being him crying while cradling Seokjin's dead body.]]

** Yoongi sleeps alone in run down motels and has become TheAlcoholic, spending the little cash he has in [[DrowningMySorrows drowning his sorrows]] about his FantasyForbiddingFather. In the original loop, he was DrivenToSuicide. [[spoiler:When Seokjin first saves him, he calls Jin out for dragging him back to the hell he's living.]] And we find out that 2 years ago,, he was expelled for fighting back against a SadistTeacher who beat Jungkook.
** Jimin suffered as a child a traumatic (yet-to-be-explained) incident in a Garden Arboretum. Because of it, he has seizures triggered by seeing things related to the place and the incident. He spent more time in the hospital than at school, and often had to change schools to the point of never making friends. After he finally made friends with the other boys during a year, a seizure sent him back to the hospital, never seeing his friends until now. [[spoiler:Turns out his emotionally abusive parents, who constantly treat him as a burden, forced him to stay at the hospital for ''2 whole years'' so they don't have to bother with him, which has only helped make his mental illness even worse.]]

** In Episode 5, [[spoiler:Jin grabs Jungkook away from the hooded men, leaves him with Namjoon and runs off to save Yoongi. Jungkook asks Namjoon what's happening, but it turns out Jin this time didn't even bother with an explanation before dragging Namjoon into his car. Namjoon is just as confused.]]

** In Episode 13, [[spoiler:the frustration of the time loop finally breaks Jin, making him refuse to do anything for an entire cycle (or more)... until, unexpectedly, he hears a knock on the door: it's Taehyung, brought there by his dreams. This is what brings Jin the strength to keep going - and it's the first time we see him smile genuinely in the present.]]

[[spoiler:As we find out in Episode 3, Jungkook ends up committing suicide in the original loop.]]
