* AuthorsSavingThrow: One of the very few praises the movie gets is making the main characters older by three years, as one of the main complains about the original version was the ImprobableAge (Seiya, Saori and Shun were only 13 years old).

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: The reaction to some of the new redesigns of the characters, particularly the Gold Saints.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Because of the severe CompressedAdaptation, many characters ended up with very reduced goals. Interestingly enough, the three characters with this criticism are related.

** Seiya is much less annoying compared to the anime and manga, thanks to his more modern (and even Adorkable at some points) dialogue and more jovial personality making him more charismatic, reinforced by his well-animated facial expressions and body gestures.

* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: After seeing the second trailer, the online expectations for the movie were far more positive, mostly due the impressive CGI.

* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: After seeing While the second trailer, film is criticized for many reasons, nearly everyone agrees that the online expectations for animation is absolutely stellar and possibly the movie were far more positive, mostly due best visual treatment the impressive CGI.franchise has ever received. It really conveys the sheer power the Saints have in a way that had never been seen before, and there was a lot of special care put into the animations of the characters themselves to better convey their personalities.

** , Andromeda Shun. While all Bronze Saints have their characters simplified yet still having their signature moment from the 12 Houses arc, Shun is the exception, as his fight with Aphrodite - an interesting villain in the original manga and anime and had a cool fight. source material, is cut. In the movie, he Aphrodite goes KO after two lines and doesn't even throw a single punch.

** Deathmask's redesign not only looks like Jack Sparrow, but his house also had singing faces and disco lights and showcases a VillainSong. Again in case: A. VILLAIN. SONG.

** Deathmask's redesign not only looks looking like Jack Sparrow, alongside his extreme personality change of being a very sadistic villain to a LaughablyEvil but still sadistic antagonist with his house also had singing faces and disco lights and showcases serving with a VillainSong. Again in case: A. VILLAIN. SONG.VillainSong was not well received.
