* AwesomeMusic: For a MIDI soundtrack in the early 90s, the Song of the Elusive Ghost is a beautiful mournful tune in which the titular Elusive Ghost talks about Ankhtepot's crimes and her son's petrification.

* BreatherLevel: When compared to the snake-filled Temple of Set or the built-like-a-truck grave elementals in the Burial Chambers, the Temple of the Harvest has only weak Sand Mephits and one poison-barbed trap. Considering the player needs the Urn from the Temple of Set to fully explore this place, these are easy by comparison.
* DemonicSpiders: Pyre Elementals. In the previous game, they were just tough, but in this one, they create fire around them, so engaging them in melee causes the party to take constant damage, in addition to their normal heavy-hitting damage.

* DiscOneNuke:
** An imported character from Strahd's Possession will generally start at a high level and can have powerful weapons. Weapons like the Paladin's Sword or Ba'al Verzi dagger are just as strong here as they were in Barovia.
** The Vistani Dagger, received from the dead woman at the very beginning of the game. It's a +3 weapon. True, the player needs to give it to Piotra, but they can avoid him entirely and get enough points to beat the game without meeting him. Or just let him tag along.
** Create Water. 1st level Cleric spells are generally not that useful, and by devoting space to Create Water, the player can free up inventory space, which is always at a premium, especially early on.

** Snakes, spitting or otherwise. They are mostly very easy and a trained fighter can wipe them out in one hit. But if they do hit, they can poison, which needs to be healed through spells or ointment. And there are a lot of snakes.
** Doom Guards. They aren't very tough, but explode in magical damage everytime they are killed.
