* BrokenBase: More of a philosophical one that has sprung up over the years: PWG's emphasis workrate over everything is both very commendable but somewhat controversial among fans: While obviously PWG shows off a level of athleticism and talent that few shows could ever hope to reach, PWG has also received criticism for enabling [[NoSell No-Selling]] on the independent scene, and also catching some stink from commentators for their matches neglecting Wrestling Psychology.

* FandomRivalry: Kevin Steen accidentally kicked one off when trying to sell the El Generico feud in ROH by praising PWG on the ROH message boards. PWG began to be seen as a healthy alternative to those who were turned off by the idea of ROH being owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group.
** Things seem to be better now, in light of ROH's announcement in late 2015/early 2016 that they had entered an official talent-swapping agreement with PWG. For ROH, it was a way for their brand to get some better exposure from one of the most rabid and word-of-mouth savvy fanbases in the industry. For the PWG fans, this meant that they get to see some of their old favorites return to Reseda, [[spoiler: including Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly.]]

* LoveItOrHateIt: PWG's all about the in-ring action with little storyline interaction whatsoever. You're either there to see the performers and enjoy the spectacle, or you're more than likely exasperated by the lack of anything to care about.

* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: Not even in the top five among US promotions when it comes to drawing crowds, occasionally top six if you're generous, yet has a very strong international fan base and yes, that includes Germany.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: Candice managing to withstand getting kicked in the face by one of the Young Bucks- who was wearing a shoe with [[UpToEleven thumbtacks glued to the sole]]- and pinning him to win.
** Trevor Lee somehow managing to survive Chris Hero beating the shit out for him for most of their match- and he actually won.
** Jeff Cobb throwing Chris Hero around like a toy.

* CrowningMomentOfFunny: Team Tremendous taking Joey Ryan's lollipop as evidence.
** Zack Sabre Jr. starting off his speech to Roderick Strong and Adam Cole with "Hello, Roderick. Hello, cocksucker."
** The slow-motion part of the ten-man tag match at BOLA 2014.
*** At BOLA 2015, the ten-man tag match had wrestlers recognising things that happened in 2014's ten-man tag match and not playing along.
*** Also at BOLA 2015, Mark Andrews and Andrew Everett playing along with the slow motion until they got up to the top rope and acknowledged that they can't exactly do flips in slow motion.
** ACH temporarily becoming Stone Cold Steve Austin.
** Chuck Taylor beating Kikutaro in about one minute.
** The dance-off between the Inner City Machine Guns and Los Gueros Del Cielo.
*** Rich Swann dropping himself on his head by accident.
** Angelico vs Jack Evans, where most of the match consisted of Jack cutting a promo about how Angelico is terrible and Jack has to do all the work in their matches.
** Jeff Cobb [[NoSell shrugging off]] a piledriver from Chris Hero, pointing out himself that one cannot piledrive that which has no neck.
** Zack Sabre Jr vs Akira Tozawa. The first four minutes consisted of nothing but the crowd constantly chanting and the combatants lampshading that they hadn't so much as thrown a punch yet, until they pretended to just conclude the match because clearly it'd already hit its peak.

*** Mark Andrews and Andrew Everett playing along with the slow motion until they got up to the top rope and acknowledged that they can't exactly do flips in slow motion.

** Jeff Cobb NoSelling a piledriver from Chris Hero, pointing out himself that one cannot piledrive that which has no neck.
