* HarsherInHindsight: Now that the phrase "Ground Zero" is universally recognized as being associated with [[UsefulNotes/TheWarOnTerror 9/11]] and where the original World Trade Center used to stand, the Cold War satire in "Christmas At Ground Zero" is pretty much lost for good; Al would subsequently retire the song from his live shows, though it eventually returned for his 2018 and 2022 tours.

* ItsShortSoItSucks: Perhaps the most common criticism of the album. It is only ten songs long, in contrast to the standard 11-13 songs (though usually 12) every other album contains, and every last song is strictly in between three to four minutes, lacking short, punchy, and memorable gags such as "Mr. Frump in the Iron Lung" or "Twister" and longer, fan-favorite songs such as the earlier "Nature Trail to Hell" or the later "Albuquerque" or even "Wanna B Ur Lovr". Some fans will even argue that it should have been an EP instead, saying if it was marketed as such and a few of the weakest songs were removed while the remaining ones were slightly polished, it would be far more warmly received.
