* HilariousInHindsight: Totoko doing an idol show is a chuckle when you consider that Aya Endo played an idol in Macross Frontier.

* {{Shipping}}: A large amount of the Pixiv fanbase has taken to shipping the Matsuno brothers with [[IncestYay each other]], either based upon heir original relationships in the previous series (i.e. Choromatsu/Osomatsu because of their [[SiblingTeam closeness]] in the original series), or just out of a desire to see them together. Chibita/Iyami is much the same way, but a little rarer.

* BrokenBase: It has been inevitably facing this lately as of the second episode. Due to the Gag nature of the series, it isn't hard to find someone to point out any of the instances within the show, such as the humor. The abrupt change from the reference-heavy opening episode to the more laid back SliceOfLife of the second did not help either. Especially the first episode, where an unexpected change in art style(as well as an idol parody before escalating from there) literally divided viewers.

* TearJerker: The fact that the brothers go into a decade-long slump after considering how their creator would react to episode 1's fiasco. It wasn't too much of a worry for them until a picture of him smashes on the ground.
** The '''entirety''' of "The Melancholy of Osomatsu"(the latter half of Episode 02). Osomatsu actually tries to hang out with his brothers, but instead he actually interferes in their lives. As the episode goes on, he is beaten up by two of his brothers, got ignored by the rest and is ultimately disowned ''and replaced'' while he was out. Keep in mind, it's only been a day.
** "Let's Get a Job" has the brothers working at Black Factory ''as slaves'', '''non-stop'''.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: The Sextuplets successfully escaping Black Factory in the first half of Episode 02.
** Ichimatsu fusing with the cat to a "cat-human" type. ''He can move!!''
** Also from the same latter half, Osomatsu talking to hell with Chibita about his advice not making ''any sense'' and snaps him out of it.
** Osomatsu does it again. This time, he knocks ''the hell out of'' the supposed "New" Osomatsu!

* HeartwarmingMoments:
** The brothers thanking the audience for getting them this far at the end of "Osomatsu-kun Returns". Combines with CrowningMomentOfFunny, as the entire talk reads like a last episode commentary.
** Chibita's advice in the latter half of Episode 02, full stop.
** Before that, Osomatsu finds Ichimatsu befriending a cat.
** Choromatsu following Todomatsu to the toilet late at night since the latter is afraid of the dark.
