* {{Anvilicious}} - With the aesop of BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor, nearly ''every'' customer who asks for Hiruko to help them do a certain thing in their dream ends up learning that what they wanted was the wrong thing to do. Sometimes this ends happily -- like the suicidal girl who at first wanted Hiruko to stop her from jumping in her dream, only to learn that jumping would, rather than killing her, give her the strength to live in the waking world -- and sometimes it ends very badly, like the girl who accidentally traps herself in a GroundhogDayLoop simply wanting to return to her ordinary routine using her dreams.
* CanonFodder - The resolution is... [[MindScrew confusing...]] to say the least. And even then, some things, such as Kairi and the Delirium, never even get an attempt at an explanation.
* FoeYay - Tsukishiro and [[spoiler:Azusa]] in the last volume. Might overlap with NoYay for some people.

* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: The short story "Characters" -- in the story, Hiruko is approached by a man who had a troubled relationship with his excessively harsh father, until his father was killed when he was crushed by crates ten years ago. The man, who was present at the accident but doesn't remember much of it, believes that he may have actually killed his father, and now repeatedly has nightmares of the [[ItMakesSenseInContext Japanese character for Father laying on top of the Japanese character that represents himself,]] which he's unable to remove. Believing it to be a manifestation of his father's malice, the man and Hiruko enter the dream. It's there that the man remembers [[spoiler:that his father had used his own body as a human shield to protect him when the heavy crates fell on top of them, not budging an inch even as he was crushed to death. The man is tearfully reassured by both remembering his father's love for him and learning his true role in his death.]] Awww!
