And also becomes a mindless [[AxCrazy robot]].

** In the manga, Medaforce basically 'boils' the armor of a medabot when it first manifests... yeah, it's exactly not an [[BodyHorror image]] that one can ignore.

* TheWoobie: Blakbeetle.

* OffModel: Due to the show's very simplified art style. Sometimes, a character can be depicted with [[FourFingeredHands only four fingers]] instead of the usual five. Incredibly noticeable in the second season onward due to ProductionIG taking over.

* NightmareFuel: The Robo-Emperor, anyone? The thing looks less like a metabot than a feral, mechanical, fully-armed Lamia.

* HilariousInHindsight: Ikki and Erika mocks Phil for trying to seel them a KBT model, very old. And then, guess which model does Ikki buy in later?

* BetterThanItSounds: It's actually quite entertaining, and genuinely funny unlike some other shows from that era.

** Dr. Meta-Evil would count as one. Prior to the series, he stole the medal theory reports from Professor Hushi and set fire to his home. Meta-Evil was pretty much responsible for the Ten Days of Darkness eight years ago; Which Hikaru/Henry got the blame for. Meta-Evil did all of this to [[spoiler: have all the world's Medabots be the dominate lifeforms of the earth. With him as their ruler.]]

* CrowningMusicOfAwesome: The dub had a surprisingly epic opening theme. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7jFBhkgXIA]] An instrumental version would play during fight sequences.

* CompleteMonster: Kam from ''Spirits''. He has attempted to destroy the Metals belonging to the heroes' Metabots on several occasions. In one episode, when Ikki and Metabee refused to fight one of his Kilobots, Kam uses it attack random Metabots and destroy their Metals to force them into fighting it. And his treatment of Blakbeetle. Knowing she is a Kilobot with emotions, he treats her no differently from the rest of them. He has her discarded to the dump of his building after she failed to defeat Metabee, [[spoiler: and inserted her Metal into Gryphon, forcing her to fight against the heroes.]]

* CharacterDerailment: The manga [[SarcasmMode did a good job]] [[strike:FUCKED]] tailored [[IllGirl Karin]] into a BitchInSheepsClothing instead of Sweet variant of TheOjou.
