* ViewerNameConfusion: The "C" in "Celeritas", Lumen's surname, is pronounced like a "K" (made more explicit in the katakana spelling, ケレリタス "Kereritasu"). Many fans either aren't aware or willingly disregard it and pronounce it like an "S".

* DesignatedHero:
** Canonically, Tsubakura tends to be more... cavalier than one might hope from the hero. Justified, since they were taken to a strange world and designated as the hero without their consent.
** Yabusame is not really any better either, though they have the benefit of not being as rude as Tsubakura and more into ComedicSociopathy.
** Kuroji is falling into this since ''Reactivate Majestical Imperial'' due to {{Flanderization}} of being TheBarnum and other KickTheDog moments.

** In an interview, [=JynX=] mentions that Kuroji's reversing ability would be useful for flipping hamburgers. If you look in the Scoundrel Team's Haze Route from ''Brilliant pagoda or haze castle'', it's canon.

* FandomEnragingMisconception: Do ''not'' call ''Len'en'' a ''[[Franchise/TouhouProject Touhou]]'' fangame. As the fans will eagerly inform you, while it takes direct inspiration ([=JynX=] themself is a ''Touhou'' fan), it is a completely separate work.

** An interesting case is Shion's final spell in ''Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle'', モノクロム・霊, which is a pun on Tsubakura's SignatureMove Monochrome Ray (モノクロムレイ). モノクロム is just "monochrome" in katakana, while both 霊 and レイ are read as "rei", but the former means "spirit" or "soul". The pun was preserved in English by translating Shion's spell as "Monochrome Wraith", where "wraith" sounds slightly similar to "ray" while still being a term referring to a spirit.

* TransAudienceInterpretation: The fact that JynX intentionally leaves almost every character's gender [[AmbiguousGender ambiguous]] has led to several fans interpreting the various characters as Genderfluid, Non-binary, Agender and other identities under the Trans umbrella.

** The series' creator and the Len'en Project itself can count as one. Originally [=JynX=] was mostly known for their work on teaser videos of Touhou PC-98 remakes, with Len'en considered mostly their side projects inspired by Touhou. Now the series is considered by many on par with the Touhou series, some even enjoying Len'en more.
