* ThatOneBoss: The FinalBoss of Frontiers. It seems like a standard FlunkyBoss at first, but when you "kill" it, it explodes into many small blobs which you must destroy as much of, because they'll reform into the boss (but its Maximum Health will be lower if you killed some of them). The battle only gets harder as it goes on as it then uses EyeBeams to outright destroy your towers (This is the only enemy in the series that can do so, by the way), making it harder to kill his smaller Mooks. In order to beat him, you need to keep killing him and his blobs before he destroys your defences and his hordes get through.

* DemonicSpiders: Tricksters from Frontiers. These guys have quite a bit of health, and will resurrect all slain savages around them into voodoo zombies with a lot of health. Worse still, your towers stupidly attack the zombies instead of aiming for the trickster first! If you don't use a Rain Of Fire or reinforcements to keep it busy, your defences will get overrun by stupid voodoo zombies.
** Savant Saurians, if not killed quickly enough. These guys can summon Broodguards (gets faster when near death, easy), Darters (teleports, irritating), as well as Nightscales (cloaks when at half their health, very dangerous). If the Savant summons a Nightscale when it's halfway through, the Nightscale will probably cloak and waltz past half your defences!

* GameBreaker: Ashbite the dragon seems to be one in terms of heroes. He has extremely high health, does a lot of area damage with his attacks (one of which can instakill), can slow groups of enemies by a large amount, levels up the fastest, and flies, making 80% of enemies unable to attack him at all. Of course, you need to buy him for a lot of money (even more than the game itself!) to use him.

** Parasytes in Frontiers. They're only found in a few levels, but their "attack" renders a soldier useless and will make them explode into a tough Reaper if not removed. This pretty much kills your barracks defences as a facehugged soldier isn't considered dead yet and more will not respawn. Worse still, they will be periodically spawned in groups during later waves, and worst of all, don't give any gold when killed.

** Dune Terrors in Frontiers can't be attacked when they're tunnelling, and you need barrack soldiers to draw them out. The problem is that they also tend to appear in huge numbers, and some of them can easily slip through your barracks defences. ** Tainted Treants in the Rotten Forest. When they start appearing, they may be tough, but then they get easier as your towers get better. The reason they fall under here is because starting from wave 11 onwards, they randomly pop out of the ground, often near the exit, and the number that appear gets more and more as the waves go on. Also, those that randomly appear do not give any gold when killed.
