Critical Research Failure is a disambiguation page

* CriticalResearchFailure: The 2014 year in review portrayed Washington D.C. and Colorado as having legalized marijuana. It was Washington ''state'' that did so, not Washington, D.C.

* SomeAnvilsNeedToBeDropped: Some videos tackle issues involving negative consequences of consumerism. Among these are the globalist impact of high-value retail stores ("Big Box Mart") and yellow journalism on televised newscasts ("What We Call The News").

needs at least 20 years to have passed

* ValuesResonance: "What We Call The News", a satire about how sensationalized the news media is for the sake of ratings, is still true today.

* FunnyAneurysmMoment:
** In "Nuckin' Futs: The Year 2006 in Review", the children sing that UsefulNotes/FidelCastro "nearly croaked". Come 10 years later, and we discover that Castro did indeed croak.
** UsefulNotes/JohnMcCain's "I go both ways in D.C.!" quip. The real [=McCain=] angered Democrats and Republicans alike with his flip-flopping decisions since then. He even went as far as throwing his own running mate Sarah Palin under the bus when he lost the 2008 election.
** “2014: You Are History!”, after it became the last year-in-review song. Now, Jib Jab itself is all but Internet history.
* HarsherInHindsight: "Time for Some Campaignin'" has John [=McCain=] passing out from a heart attack. The real John died ten years later from brain cancer.
** From the same video, it make fun of Hillary losing out to Obama as the Democratic candidate and claiming she'll be back in four years. Obama ran a full term (eight years) and indeed Hillary tried again and got the Democratic candidacy... only to lose to Donald Trump in the 2016 elections.

** Also, in the 2008 year in review, Baby New Year 2008 sings that "Music/{{Miley|Cyrus}} showed her... [ass]". In "2013: What a Year!", she is now on a wrecking ball (in reference to her music video for "Wrecking Ball") as she sings, "I got my twerking butt in gear" while Sinead O'Connor calls her a "skank".
** In 2012, Darth Vader says of Disney's purchase and revival of the ''Franchise/StarWars'' franchise, "The Force has stirred." The first Disney ''Star Wars'' movie would be called ''Film/TheForceAwakens''.

* ItsShortSoItSucks: The fact that the only big video [=JibJab=] makes each year is their annual year-end revue means that a lot of viewers wish they could be longer than the average two minutes or less. While they are excellent on their own, many fans become disappointed when a certain topic or event that they think is important isn't mentioned. The fact that almost all of the reviews have a verse near the end [[LampshadeHanging that acknowledges that there is a lot of stuff they didn't mention]] doesn't exactly help. And to finish it off, they haven’t made any since 2014, so sorry to all those looking for comments on the insanity of 2015 on.
