Needs to be a two-sided point of discussion.

** Eve Bakian. Many are happy to see a mostly well received original creation from Secret Wars 2015 find her way to the 616 universe. Though a good number of people found it highly inappropriate for a pregnant woman to be fighting the Fraternity of Raptors on the front lines. Nova Force powered badass or not.

** This event has been criticized as a disguised continuation of ''Guardians of the Galaxy''.

Requires Word Of God confirmation

* AuthorsSavingThrow:
** The tie-ins are all one-shots, preventing the event front intruding on other series. The sole exception to this being Darkhawk who did not have an ongoing series at the time and is receiving a 4-part mini-series to tie into the event. This is part of an overall trend toward smaller events.
** A lot of fans disliked Galactus' Lifebringer role, and it stuck for a long time, probably in part because he was barely used by any writers besides the writer who turned him into the Lifebringer to begin with. He reverts back to his Devourer of Worlds role in this series.

"What an Idiot!" is now Flame Bait.

* WhatAnIdiot: Riri attempting to take on ''Thanos,'' as shown in the TakeThatScrappy entry above. Everybody else, from villain Warbringer to all of her teammates know that this is a VERY bad idea ''(with Warbringer even stating that to challenge Thanos head-on was to invite death)'', which very nearly does lead to her being killed [[spoiler: had the Champions not fought off Warbringer's army and saved Thanos some trouble, causing him to spare her.]] This leads to Riri being emotionally broken by the issue's end.

* DroppedABridgeOnHim: [[spoiler: Hank Pym being destroyed by a soul eater while trapped in an illusion of finally making it ''home'' after being subjected to the Ultron fusion for over a year in-story time]] was so quick and ignoble that some fans saw it as mean-spirited on the part of the writer.

Unapproved and already covered in the main Ultron entry.

* CompleteMonster:
** Ultron, as always. After [[spoiler:killing the Magus]] and obtaining the Soul Stone, Ultron uses its power to [[spoiler:wipe out all life on the Planet, Saiph, convert all its inhabitants into Ultron Hybrids, Ultronize the Silver Surfer, and if that wasn't bad enough, he has built rockets which contain his virus ready to transform THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE INTO ULTRONS!]]
** Worst of all, a soul fragment of Hank Pym (Who is still merged with Ultron) is trapped inside the Soul Stone, and can't do anything to stop his hated creation.

* HolyShitQuotient: Pretty much everything Ultron does. He first appears in the event when he [[spoiler:kills the Magus]]. And When Adam Warlock finally confronts him, Ultron had just finished [[spoiler:Ultronizing the Silver Surfer]].

* FridgeLogic: ''Why'' exactly does Galactus need to be reverted back to a devourer to destroy a planet? It's implicit that the Lifebringer is stronger given he doesn't hunger and is capable of bringing life to entire dead planets.
