She falls off the set hard enough to hurt her ankle (you can see her limping afterwards), loses her boyfriend and award, and her mother's televised fall from grace happens right after Amber [[GracefulLoser accepts defeat with unexpected maturity]] (Of course, Amber doesn't seem to really care much about her mother's situtation, since really, nobody's going to think any less of ''her'' for something only her mother did.)

* ValuesDissonance: Parodied. When Tracy and Edna are on their way to the clothing store, they pass a bar where a group of visibly pregnant women are smoking and making a toast "to the future."

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: All the heroes get one in the Finale: Tracy giving Amber a musical beatdown; Link inviting Inez onstage and dancing with her; Seaweed and Penny's kiss; Edna getting onstage and performing; the black dancers finally mixing with the whites at the end, and (in the stage show), even the Von Tussles [[HeelFaceTurn get in on the act.]]
** Hell, the fact that Tracy, Maybelle, and her dancers staged such an elaborate coup in the first place counts.
* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming:
** Wilbur and Edna's duet, "You're Timeless to Me", especially in the second movie, where he starts singing to try to win Edna back after Velma made it look like they were having an affair (though YMMV, as ChristopherWalken playing Wilbur might make the whole thing {{Narm}} to some.)
** Wilbur again, when he bailed Maybelle and her dancers out of jail along with Edna, knowing it would be a financial hit for a little while.

** Or Link finally growing a spine and telling his History teacher to "kiss my ass".

** Wilbur and Edna's duet, "You're Timeless to Me", especially in the second movie, where he starts singing to try to win Edna back after Velma made it look like they were having an affair.

* MoralEventHorizon: Almost every scene Velma appears in, though racism lends itself easily to this trope.
