* OvershadowedByControversy: Like ''Film/ExodusGodsAndKings'', which similarly bombed both financially and critically, the whitewashing is pretty much the only thing people are talking about.
* RetroactiveRecognition: Creator/ChadwickBoseman as Thoth. That was just a couple of months before ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar'' introduced him in his now-iconic role, ComicBook/BlackPanther.
