* AcceptableReligiousTargets: Their early music generally had anti-Christian undertones, though it was largely just anti-people (being trolls who wanted to eat them and all). Their first three full-length albums each had a short, lighthearted track laden with sound effects and featuring lyrics concerning two men of the cloth who are beset violently by trolls- in the sauna, in the church, even on their way to town. It always ends poorly for them.

Deleted line(s) 2 (click to see context) :
* FunnyAneurysmMoment / HarsherInHindsight: The band's third album, the acoustic ''Visor Om Slutet'' has a rather bleak, almost apocalyptic theme and mood - which is fitting, considering the name means "Songs About The End". The album would be the last one to feature Katla as a vocalist due to a (non-fatal) throat tumor. And a couple of weeks before the album was out, Somnium fell/jumped to his death from the Pitkäsilta bridge in Helsinki. Some irony, huh...
Changed line(s) 4 (click to see context) from:
* GrowingTheBeard: Many fans feel that ''Nattfödd'' was when the band really started to reach their heights.

misuse, and also in the wrong spot
Deleted line(s) 2 (click to see context) :
* AuthorExistenceFailure: Subverted. Somnium fell off a bridge and died in 2003. His death was ruled as an accident, likely helped by intoxication, but some people (specifically, Mika Luttinen from Impaled Nazarene) claim he intentionally committed suicide. With his death none of the founding members remained in the band (though Katla would return in 2006 to write lyrics), and the future of the band was in question. Ultimately the surviving band members stayed together as they felt it would be an insult to Somnium to break up.
