Now an Index disavowing examples.

* AcceptableTargets:
** The show makes no bones about its utter contempt for incels, even calling out their major breeding ground 8chan by name.
** Ghost hunting programs, with the in-universe show Gotham Ghosts being portrayed as being run by a bunch of hucksters that have to resort to using special effects that literally cause allergic reactions among the cast and using ADR to change the narrative of the episode to make them look better.

Cutting this because it doesn’t fit the out-of-universe nor in-universe criteria. The two characters who know about it forgive her and pardon her for the act; on the account that Le Roux was a repulsive human being. Also, he threatened to murder one of Kristen’s daughters. Kristen’s killing of Orson was pre-meditated, but it was for a very sympathetic reason. It’s treated as a vague Start Of Darkness, but nothing else.

* MoralEventHorizon: Surprisingly enough, [[spoiler:Kristen]] crosses it in the Season 1 finale when [[spoiler:she preemptively murders Orson [=LeRoux=] after his release. Afterwards, she discovers that a crucifix will now burn her skin, showing that she’s made herself vulnerable to the Devil with such an act.]]

** The reveal that Townsend's own therapist is [[spoiler: apparently an actual demon, complete with horns and cloven hooves, is just surreal and too ridiculous to be scary.]]
* WhatAnIdiot:
** [[spoiler: Acosta, you just told a ''known InsaneEqualsViolent child'' who feels ''murderous intent towards his baby sister'' that prayer is where you ask God for something, and then God gives it to you.]] What did you ''think'' would happen?
** After a while, seeing Kristen being a bigger AgentScully than the ''original'' Agent Scully gets frustrating, not helped by the fact that her explanations for things like [[spoiler:Leland knowing a symbol associated with the Hierarchy of the Sixty]] are stretching to the breaking point.
** [[spoiler: Kristen's mother, Sheryl, starts dating Leland. When Kristen finds out, she plays her mother a recording of Leland talking about a teenager getting raped in prison multiple times, in the context of him ''trying to make that come about''. You'd think this would be conclusive evidence to Sheryl that Leland really is a psychopath like Kristen says. Instead, she concludes that Kristen just doesn't want her dating anyone, and not only continues to date Leland, but takes his advice on how to interact with her granddaughters.]]
