* Elaine Peacock, as played by Harriet Thorpe. Not only was the recasting questionable due to her looking so vastly different from Maria Friedman, though Thorpe still does a good job with the material, the sudden readjusting of her character in regards to her daughter Linda and prioritising her new relationship with her fiancé George Knight, to the point that she asks Linda to say she lied about Dean raping her to stop him pressing assault charges on George, was a tough pill to swallow. Equalling polarising is her feeling threated by George's ex, Cindy, despite Cindy not outwardly showing an interest in George, resulting in DieForOurShip on both sides.

** Britney Wainwright is looked down on by the fanbase firstly for being solely for Whitney's exiting storyline, which sees Whitney getting overly attached to Britney only after a short while of meeting her, which was by her deflating her car tyres, thus introducing her in poor light. Even when her dire home situation came to light, her continued attitude put viewers off, with the show seemingly hoping the audience would sympathies with her for her situation than for her as a person. To make matters worse, when Whitney secretly pays of her abusive mother to take Britney, she shows no gratitude, and eventually outs the secret to Zack, resulting in him cheating on Whitney in a moment of alcohol induced idiocy. As if to outdo herself, she later convinces Bianca to steal supplies for Whitney's wedding, only to put all the consequences on her when she lets slip what they did.

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: [[spoiler: Did Bobby really kill Lucy by accident? Did he really not know she was dead? Does he show no remorse because he genuinely thinks someone else killed her or is he sociopath?]]

** When Dean Wicks was being questioned by police over the murder of Keanu Taylor and they showed him the weapon he said that he had never seen it before, but didn't mention that Stacey Slater suspiciously visited his home earlier despite hating him and could have planted it while his back was turned, which she did.
