** The game reuniting the entire surviving cast of the 1987 series for one final sendoff feels especially poignant yet moving now that Alan Young, June Foray, and Chuck [=McCann=] are no longer with us. Additionally, with the involvement of Creator/JasonMarsden and Creator/EricBauza in the game, both of whom have been involved with the show's [[WesternAnimation/DuckTales2017 reboot]], it also comes off as something of a PassingTheTorch moment to the next generation.

* BrokenBase: The [[Creator/KaboomComics Boom! Kids]] comics. Many fans disliked the Rightful Owners saga for its plot, its artwork (which was redrawn and suffered modifications) and its continuity errors. Some didn't like the ideia of Scrooge being confronted with the fact that he would have been less than honest in his treasure hunts, and therefore should return some of these to its original owners, because it would betrayed the franchise's spirit of treasure hunt in favor of pollitical correctness. Others appreciated the ideia, but some felt it was poorly executed and ended up being a disservice to the theme.
* FanonDiscontinuity: "Dangerous Currency" was disowned by fans, especially of Darkwing Duck comics, due to its many contradictions to the Darkwing comic canon, and being published withow approval of the Walt Disney Company.

YMMV does not work that way. It can't be arguable over whether or not the last installment of a series gives it a proper conclusion. I'd rework this into a Heartwarming In Hindsight entry were there not one already.

* GrandFinale: Despite being a remake, the HD title being rewritten from the ground-up, bringing in as many of the original cast as was physically possible and how the story ends with Glomgold finally being put away for his crimes, Magica finally obtaining Scrooge's Number-One Dime and the old trillionaire's climactic victory over the series' [[BigBad Big Bads]] has many see this as a true finale of the original series. Bonus points to this being Alan Young's last performance as Ducktales' Scrooge, neatly putting a bow on the end of his era.
