** Vorg and Shina getting stuck in a nightmarish airport security line due to xenophobia and ending up scapegoated as terrorists in a political coup works a lot better in the post-UsefulNotes/TheWarOnTerror era of zealous airport security and refugees being blamed for terrorist attacks.
** The Doctor's disgust with the Miniscope, as a collection of living beings kept captive purely for profit-driven entertainment through public display, resonates with a lot more viewers following the movements to reform zoos and discontinue the use of animal acts in circuses.

** There's a moment in Part 4 when an Inter Minorian's bald cap completely slips loose. This was considered so bad by an editor that for some transmissions, ''the whole ending scene got cut out of rebroadcasts''.

* NightmareFuel: The Drashigs. Although they are made from hand puppets, they look absolutely horrifying with those multiple red eyeballs hanging from eyestalks and all those sharp, pointy teeth.

** The Drashigs are excellent monsters...when they're on film. They are considerably let down by the videotape work and CSO in the fourth episode.
