* CounterpartComparison: I'm thinking about a species of reptile people who lived long before humans did, but went underground during an apocalyptic event. Eventually, they woke up in the modern day and now plot to take the world back from "the primates" (AKA humanity). * BizarroEpisode: "28 Sneezes Later". Between Lee believing he's hallucinating/dreaming for most of it (which he probably is...tap-dancing tazelwurm, anyone?) and the faux-ZombieApocalypse B-plot, it's just...weird. [[spoiler: However, it ends up doing a ''lot'' of {{foreshadowing}} for things to come in the series.]]

** As a side character that is even more irrelevant than the rest of Detentionaire's varied cast, Emmett (one of the 15th graders) receives an inordinate amount of attention despite not having spoken once. Probably because he has such a [[DumbMuscle big]] [[FetishFuel heart]].

** Is Lee a jerk who only cares for his friends or is he paranoid?
** Is the Serpent an irredeemable predator [[note]]His "date" with Jenny which resulted in her crying over the phone to Tina.[[/note]] or is he a product of his [[FreudianExcuse traumatic]] [[http://pewcat.tumblr.com/post/89137903531/and-as-for-the-serpent-pew-i-also-really-like upbringing]]?
* BaseBreakingCharacter: Holger. Some find him funny. Some not so much.

* CrackShip: There are some fairly absurd fans who ship Chaz and Tina. No, really.
** And then there's that one fanfic writer that came up with the concept of Lee being transgender and Biffy being Trans!Lee's boyfriend.....

** Lee/Lynch is one of the most popular ships in the fandom.

* HilariousInHindsight: Season 1's Episode 4 had a picture of Lee picking his nose circulating around the school, courtesy of JerkAss Irwin. Come season 2, and Lee befriends (or re-befriends) a girl hypnotized into constantly picking her nose. Then, come season 3; she becomes a recurring character halfway through, and competes with Tina over Lee's affection.
* HoYay: Quite a bit, between Lee and Biffy, and Lee and Holger. As of "Misadventures in Babysitting", Cam and Holger have made it to the list.
** Stepak/Chaz and Tina/Jenny have joined the list.

* OneTruePairing: Lee and Tina, there is a minority that ships them with other characters but the majority of the fandom are supporters of Canon.
* TheScrappy: Brad Von Chilstein. Hard to not to see why, literally none of the fans like him because of him getting in the way of Lee and Tina's romance (but really that was the point of why he's a character) and his ego. Not to mention his WrongGenreSavvy attitude gets really annoying after a while.
** Brandy, Kimmie, some people don't like the Glamazons.

** Mrs. Ping, does anyone really need to explain why? To her credit, she can be nice, but her moments of anger outweigh by far those moments of being nice.
*** May have been RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap thanks to her [[spoiler: BigDamnHeroes moment in "Clogspiracy" where she [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome fights the clog-obsessed Blomptkins and wins]]. The entire episode seems dedicated to showing Mrs. Ping really, ''[[MamaBear really]]'' cares about her son.]]
*** In fact, many of this show's Scrappies have had episodes in which there was an attempt at rescuing them from the Scrappy heap: Lee's mother in "Clogspiracy"; Brandy trying to bond with Lee in a Season 2 episode, showing that she's trying to get that relationship to work; Kimmie trying to rebuild her relationship with Biffy, even if she won't admit it, Barrage for [[JerkassWoobie being just another piece of the machination]] and showing [[PapaWolf some truly impressive]] moments of heroism, Jenny for helping Lee in his mission regardless of his affections for Tina...

** Jenny Jergens. She has become the female Brad because she is getting in the way of the romance between Lee and Tina.
