I feel this is more of a non-notable aversion. Also, the indentation was incorrect.

** Less consistant when paired with Speedy. While he still had sympathetic moments every now and then (see below), the writers seemed very adamant that the audience [[TookALevelInJerkass want Speedy to kick his ass most of the time]].

''WesternAnimation/BugsBunny'' and never did anything wrong to begin with.

There wasn’t even any intended right or wrong in that short.

** An example is in ''WesternAnimation/DuckAmuck'', where he is set up as the bad guy for being a bit snappy, but he was tormented repeatedly by none other than ''WesternAnimation/BugsBunny'' and never did anything wrong to begin with.

Entry fails to explain how or when the Dork Age ended.

* DorkAge: Daffy went through one in the mid-to-late 60s. He [[TookALevelInJerkass took a huge level in jerkass]] during this period to the point of being near unlikable and he was paired up with {{WesternAnimation/Speedy|Gonzales}} who Daffy would take his frustration upon him and his friends for little-to-no reason. Of course, the LimitedAnimation (which is overlapped with OffModel), use of a limited selection of Creator/HannaBarbera sound effects and William Lava's bland music score didn't help one bit. "See Ya Later Gladiator" in particular, the last Daffy Duck ''and'' Speedy Gonzales cartoon, is widely considered to be the nadir of not only the Daffy and Speedy era, but the ''Looney Tunes'' theatrical era as a whole, due to the aforementioned problems along with an uncharacteristic plot, weak/nonexistent gags, and Daffy's jerkass tendencies being [[UpToEleven ramped up even further]] as the shorts that came before tried to tone down these tendencies ("Skyscraper Caper", which was the cartoon before, had Daffy in a completely non-antagonistic role).

** This was parodied in Bugs Bunny's 50th birthday special from 1990, where we see a crowd of pro-Daffy protesters shouting against Bugs. It turns out that Daffy himself paid those guys to support him, because ''no none could possibly love Daffy more than Bugs.''

Misuse of They Wasted to complain.

* TheyWastedaPerfectlyGoodPlot: The Creator/RichMoore-directed "Attack of the Drones". A short about Daffy cloning himself could've been hilarious, but alas, the duplicate robots that Daffy creates act more like [[WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}} Bender]] than anything. In addition, the short is needlessly violent and dark - an alien bites an astronaut in half, three of Daffy's robots beat up a sentient ATM, and Daffy is at one point impaled by a lightsaber.
