* OddFriendship: A classically trained musician and notoriously conservative man who generally sided with Mike Love's vision for the Beach Boys, he still somehow managed to share a genuinely deep friendship with the self-taught, hard partying Music/DennisWilson, who wanted the band to stick to making more progressive music. Even though Bruce did not think much of the songs on the album, he still showed up to help Dennis work on his solo album because he wanted to help out his friend.
