** At the end of the second Live series, Seb shouts to the BigBad to "Go back with the Harry Potter fanfictions!". Which is pretty much half of the reactions to Theater/HarryPotterAndTheCursedChild

* NightmareFuel: In episode 14, Théo and B.O.B. are playing GoodCopBadCop. B.O.B. is not so much a "bad cop" as he is a "{{sadist}}ic and [[AxCrazy unstable]] cop". Complete with a SlasherSmile and an {{Insane Laugh}}ter. Even the GM [[LampshadeHanging comments]] on how creepy this is. Later in the season Théo upstage him when trying to make his archenemy Elyren talk.

* HilariousInHindsight: In the fifth episode of ''Starventures'', Fred says that if the natives of the planet they crashed on are Ewoks, he'll kill them all. In the very next episode, [[spoiler:Apple (his character) is captured by Ewoks]].

* CharacterAlignment: It should be noted that Bob Lennon is the only player actively claiming an alignment for his character (his designation of the other characters alignment would be WordOfDante). However, in season 3, the adventurers chose their respective motivations that can be linked to traditionnal alignments.

* FixerSue: Sanguinus. After one whole season where the party failed to ally the Churches as he intended, Mahyar had to come up with a character that basically could not have a negative opinion about the Adventurers to put the plot back on track. He almost was removed from the plot after he outlived his usefulness, if not for the players' habit of saving any character marked for death.

* BaseBreaker:

* [[TakeThatScrappy Take That,]] [[BaseBreaker Base Breaker!]]: Telling him to shut up when he began talking before his turn, having his character meet his embarrassing demonic father, joking that his accidental loss of connection is his punishment… It seems that the GM too is sometimes unnerved by Bob too.

** Knight Vlad wanted to protect humanity by getting rid of all magical beings which is a bit [[WellIntentionedExtremist extreme]], but [[FantasticNuke everything that happened after]] didn't really prove him wrong.

*** They plan to use the Codices. So do Grunlek, Shin and Sanguinus.

*** They tried to have the party either killed or captured because they were a threat to their plans. The heroes killed simple guards because they were in their way, just doing their jobs.
*** They allied with the Mercenaries Guild who act as assassins. The party allied with Sanguinus, who use sacrifice and was ready to use civilians' blood, with the Thieves, who pretty muched ransacked the city thanks to the adventurers, and with an amoral businesswoman who may finish to destroy the region economy.

* DesignatedVillain: Maeda. While she was haughty and enforced dubious laws, the most she did against the group was to test their might by unleashing a gargoyle and muting two allies who participated on an attack against her church. She even seemed to reluctantly accept Theo's offer to follow her leadership. [[spoiler:The group, in turn, took deadly shots against her under a banner of peace or while she was grievously injured because she was disrespectful.]]
** To be fair she did enjoy seeing them getting beat up by the gargoyle and tried to ruin their plan, but the group could have easily ignored her and went on with their quest.

* DudeNotFunny: Everybody (mostly Fred) joking about BlackComedyRape, for example in the very first episode with [[DudeShesLikeInAComa the mortally wounded and unconscious elf]].
** Again in ''Starventures'' with Fred's new female Twi'lek character (true, it's about [[AllAnimeIsNaughtyTentacles tentacles]] in a ''Star Wars'' setting, but it can make one feel really uneasy depending on their WillingSuspensionOfDisbelief).

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Are the players [[HeroWithBadPublicity Heroes with Bad Publicity]] trying to save the world and keep the balance between the various mystical and political forces, or a bunch of [[EntitledBastard Entitled Bastards]] who, because they litteraly stumbled on a giant elemental who gave them a vague prophecy, consider themselves above any law and run amock in the country, murdering political and religious heads or soldiers because they feel like it?

** The second ''Live'' series suffers from this because of Shin's CriticalHit. Once again, the danger came more from his [[SummonMagic summoned]] [[TheMinionMaster minions]] than [[spoiler:Sir Délénor]] himself.

* AwesomeMusic: The show uses a lot of (not really copyright-free) good background music from [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} v]][[Franchise/KingdomHearts a]][[Music/MassiveAttack r]][[WesternAnimation/{{Gargoyles}} i]][[Music/{{Apocalyptica}} o]][[Music/NightOnBaldMountain u]][[VideoGame/DarkSouls s]] [[Series/GameOfThrones s]][[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII o]][[Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda u]][[WesternAnimation/TheTwelveTasksOfAsterix r]][[Film/CannibalHolocaust c]][[Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion e]][[Music/CarminaBurana s]]. The comments are always full of people asking "what is this song at xx:xx please?" and for them to put musical credits in the descriptions, which would be nice at least for all the [[CoverVersion non-professional cover artists]] they use who [[ColbertBump could use the publicity]].

* DiscreditedMeme: The excessive use of [[Film/MadMaxFuryRoad "Witness !"]] turned it into an OverusedRunningGag for many fans. Seb occasionally referenced it, but it can be grating when Bob starts to repeat it again and again (usually during another player's turn). He significantly toned it down after the second live storyline though.

* MarySue: Bob accuses Arcana of being this when he realizes how high her stats must be to survive the predicaments she is in.
** Aldo, Bruce (a GuestStar for the fourth ''Live'' series)'s character is an immortal with time manipulation powers and can attack two times each turn (''"Hello, my middle name is Gary Sue!"'' reacted a salty Fred). The group had a field day with him.

** Mani, Mahyar's character for the sixth Live storyline, has ''9'' points of armor, has three machetes, can counter attack, parry ''and'' attack in the same turn. It's mostly played for laughs.

* MomentOfAwesome: The in extremis rescue of Apple by 808, with a 60/60 check which would have likely resulted in the death of the Twi'lek if he had failed his roll by only ''1'' more point. Bob even celebrated this epic scene with a little LatinLover moment ("¡Olé!").

*** Or there is him [[spoiler:cutting the throat of the defeated and unarmed mercenary in the season 3 preview because he [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness Had Outlived His Usefulness]]. For someone who always placed "[[CodeOfHonour honour]]" in such a high ground, this is pretty ruthless and dark. The Death of Viktor really [[BreakTheBadass broke]] something in him]].

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The fourth ''Live'' was about about a [[HeroesWantRedHeads sexy redhead]] and a clan of blood half-elementals fighting over a powerful magical artifact. But because it was supposed to be a "one-shot" arc - and possibly due to Mahyar losing most of his files in a computer crash before the session - the ending was rushed and the group [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere left the conflict before its conclusion]], though now in possession of a water elemental. We didn't even got the opportunity to see any BloodMagic in action!

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The fourth ''Live'' was about about a [[HeroesWantRedHeads sexy redhead]] and a clan of blood half-elementals fighting over a powerful magical artifact. But because it was supposed to be a "one-shot" arc, the ending was rushed and the group [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere left the conflict before its conclusion]], though now in possession of a water elemental. We didn't even got the opportunity to see any BloodMagic in action!

** In the third Aventures Live story, Grunlek managing to make Théo's failure to empale a kid looks like Théo jumped to save him from falling to his death.

* GrowingTheBeard: Season 3 has a clear bump in budget but also in characters and storyline which lot of fans see as a net improvement. While the first season was basic since they wanted to explained RPG to the viewer and seasons 2 started world building season 3 has the players and Mahyar being more serious while still cracking jokes.

** The fifth live storyline, where there was FreakyFridaySlip involving [[spoiler:Théo]] and B.O.B. With B.OB. demonic's side even finding [[spoiler:Théo]]'s soul [[FoeYay very tasty]].

*** Starventure: [[ButtMonkey Apple]] secures the MacGuffin, Gaar tackles a Sith lord across the room, Tyzen turns every cannons in the room on the villain and the villain [[spoiler: parries every shot safe for the last one and only by making 81/80]].
*** In season 3, Théo blocks a ''critical hit'' with his own, saving B.O.B from being bisected in extremis.
