* HilariousInHindsight: Early in the game, Barry casually mentions having a zombie dog. We wouldn't get to hear anything about him having any dogs... Until [[VideoGame/JetpackJoyride few years later]], when he got a RobotDog. Given that Flash became a mainstay of the series, this line of dialogue became oddly funny and strange, especially because it was never changed in any updates.

* ScrappyWeapon: Riffle's main gimmic is [[OneHitPolykill being able to pierce through multiple enemies]], which unfortuantely also makes it quite useless. It has a slow fire speed, very low ammunition and is not all that effective against huge waves of zombies.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: Operator Stacey is the character that appears at the beginning of the game to explain the controls to Barry and is not heard from again. Her only other appearance is in the ''Lite'' demo version of the game to tell Barry that the player has to buy full version to enjoy the full experience.

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Season 2 update, which changed some graphics into an uncanny 3D models, but not all of it. Perhaps most weird thing to come out of it is that Zombie T-Rex that you use as a Power-Up had a brand new 3D model, while the one that serves as a boss battle uses its old sprites. Fortunately, this was changed back in the later update.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids: If you came here from LighterAndSofter sequels, you'd probaly be surprised by this game's EarlyInstalmentWeirdness, more specifically, the amount of blood on the screen. And then there's the original PSP version, which has a lot of swears, which were bowlderised and never used in the sequels. When Barry's first line over here is "Surprise, Professor Shit-for-Brains", you know it wasn't made with kids in mind.
