''Tom and Jerry Kids'' was one of the countless TV revivals of the classic ''WesternAnimation/{{Tom and Jerry}}'' shorts.

Airing from [[TheRenaissanceAgeOfAnimation 1990 to 1994]] on FoxKids, this newly produced SixtyFiveEpisodeCartoon, with ThreeShorts to each episode, was much closer to the tried and true formula of the famous cat and mouse duo than, say, [[WesternAnimation/TheTomAndJerryShow their earlier series]]. But still had the same watered-down violence carried over. There were also shorts starring classic Tom and Jerry co-stars Spike and Tyke, and Creator/TexAvery's WesternAnimation/{{Droopy}} character (along with his son Dripple), the latter of which spun off into it's own series, ''WesternAnimation/DroopyMasterDetective''.

* RecycledScript: "Tom, the Babysitter" is a remake to the 1958 short ''The Tot Watchers''.

* GoodAllAlong: In "Doom Manor", a witch's Frankenstein-like minion leaves with Tom and Jerry, telling them he's really a good guy and has been trying to get out of the witch's castle for a long while.

* KarmaHoudini: "Stunt Cat" had a movie director firing a stuck-up actor and replacing him with Tom. The actor teams up with Jerry to sabotage Tom and get him fired. They succeed and the actor gets his job back, even though Tom did nothing wrong.

A BondGunBarrel happens in the beginning of the short. The only difference is that instead of shooting at the villain, Droopy places his finger inside the barrel, causing an explosion to happen, and leaving [=McWolf=] in the dust.
** "It's the Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Dr. [=McWolf=]" also contains numerous references to 80's and 90's pop culture. Not only is the title a shout-out to ''Film/ItsAMadMadMadMadWorld'', but the celebrities he transforms into range from Music/ElvisPresley to [[Music/MichaelJackson Michael ]][[MoonwalkDance Jackson]].
