* AnimalJingoism: When Toots is first presented, Tinkles roars at her and attempts to eat her. When it looks like he succeeded, Dracula reminds him of how they were looking for a playmate for him. Upon which, he spits Toots out and subverts this trope by becoming best friends with her.
* BringMyBrownPants: The first pet that Dracula presents to Tinkles is a normal dog named Cinnamon. Unfortunately, Due to how huge Tinkles is, Cinnamon becomes so scared that they wet the carpet before running away.

* ShaggyDogStory: The whole reason Dracula was looking for various other pets is so that Tinkles would have somebody to play with and give him some peace. Once Tinkles bonds with Toots, Dracula thinks he can finally work without distraction only for Tinkles and Toots to bring the ball to him once more.
