However, she soon discovers that there's more to the mansion than it seems, and accidentally gets involved in a deal with Jack's ghost, although she doesn't know it's actually Jack.

!!''Jack The American Ghost'' contains examples of:
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Cindy’s obsession with Jack, Jack’s obsession with Misha, and Aidan’s feelings for Go-Eun.
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: How Go-Eun appears to others.
* AudioErotica: Go-Eun apparently has an amazing speaking and singing voice. She was even able to make ghosts pay no attention to Jack's piano playing when she sang to herself.
* BigBad: [[spoiler: Sebastian, who wants Jack’s soul very badly. ]]
* {{Bishounen}}: Jack. Perhaps Aidan as well.
* BreakTheCutie: Jack and Go-Eun's backstories, oh my gosh.
* CrazyJealousGuy: How Jack appeared when he was alive whenever Misha came around. Although one suspects whether some of his behavior around Aidan was part of this. He did say it bugged him how Go-Eun would leave with a million dollars ''and'' a man.
* CreepyChild: How Go-Eun appeared after her mother's death.
* CryCute: How [[spoiler: Go-Eun looks when she begins to cry.]]
* EmotionlessGirl: Go-Eun doesn't feel things very strongly, although [[DefrostingIceQueen she begins to eventually express herself more and more as the series goes on.]]
* HauntedHouse: The Dunn Rose Mansion, of course.
* InterspeciesRomance: Go-Eun, a human, and Jack, a ghost.
* LargeHam: How Jack appears during his mood swings.
* LoonyFan: Cindy, whose every motivation revolves around Jack.
* LoveBeforeFirstSight: It's revealed that [[spoiler: Jack and Go-Eun were at the same mental hospital for a while, and he fell in love with her by hearing her sing, despite not knowing what she looked like.]]
* LoveHurts: Jack and Go-Eun inadvertently cause each other a lot of pain while trying to help each other.
* LoveMakesYouCrazy: Jack strikes a deal with [[spoiler: Sebastian to bring him back to life so he can be with Misha.]] Possibly subverted, as Go-Eun notes it’s not love, but obsession.
* NervesOfSteel: While the ghosts terrify or nearly drive everyone mad, Go-Eun remains convinced that there are no ghosts, and that they're all employees, which makes her utterly unafraid.
* ObsessionSong: A non vocal version. Jack plays the song he’s composing about Misha to Go-Eun, who notes that the passion in it does not seem like love, but obsession.
* SanitySlippage: While she wasn't that sane to begin with, Cindy definitely goes off the deep end by the end of the series.
* ScaryShinyGlasses: Sebastian's mono glass does this frequently. So does Cindy's glasses.
