I Am Groot is a 2023 Creator/InfinityComics webcomic from Creator/MarvelComics. It's written and drawn by Chiya.

The series is a LighterAndSofter take on Groot, similar to the WesternAnimation/IAmGroot animated series, for an "all ages" audience. It's not part of the shared Franchise/MarvelUniverse continuity that most of Marvel's comics and webcomics use.

Some other Marvel characters appear as guest stars, and are presented in a similar child-friendly style to Groot himself.

The first issue was released September 8, 2023.
----
!!I Am Groot contains examples of the following tropes:
* AlternateContinuity: I Am Groot is a LighterAndSofter take on the character, and isn't presented as part of the Franchise/MarvelUniverse continuity which first introduced Groot. Nor does it match the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse continuity of the film and TV adaptations.
* FrustratedOverheadScribble: In issue #2, Groot sees Hulk as a rival and starts attacking his shins. It has absolutely no effect, but a grumpy Hulk's reaction to the punching is shown via a s scribble.
* InfiniteCanvas: As with Marvel's other Infinity Comics, it’s presented in the vertical scrolling variant. Each issue is a single long page, with one column of panels.
* RecycledTitle: Groot's catchphrase has previously been used as the title for a 2017 comic book series as well as a 2022 animated series.
* ThrowingTheFight: In issue #2, Groot decides that Hulk is his new rival and starts punching his shins. This initially seems to have absolutely no effect other than annoying Hulk, but he eventually topples backwards in defeat. A panel of Hulk lying on the ground, with Groot celebrating, strongly implies that it was just easier and less frustrating to let Groot win and end the one-sided rivalry.
