* OutOfFocus: Pichu's masochism, an exaggeration from its original ''Smash'' appearance, was a prominent gag in the early days of the comic, whether as the main punchline or a background gag. Later on, Pichu would be side-lined in terms of screentime to the point where its masochism was hardly one of its defining traits. %%most explicitly shown in "Defibrillamon", where Pichu's self-harming tendencies was pushed aside for the main punchline of it and Pikachu being jacked up in electricity.

For the former two, this is notable in that the author expressed his dislike for Incineroar as a character when it was first revealed as an ''Ultimate'' newcomer (having a preference for fellow ''VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon'' Starter Decidueye), and that he had no knowledge of the ''VideoGame/{{Tekken}}'' franchise upon Kazuya's reveal. ** The second Arc features Incineroar, Kazuya, and [[HeelFaceTurn Sephiroth]] vacationing in [[VideoGame/PokemonScarletAndViolet Paldea]] and getting into various antics there, and later they are joined by Daisy, Luigi, Kirby, Sora, the Duck Hunt Duo, Kirby and Sonic; meanwhile, the Smash House deals with a Maushold infestation and eventual takeover after a few of the mouse-like Pokémon sneaks into their House.

* SubvertedSuspicionAesop: Cloud is treated by the rest of the roster as wrong for refusing to trust Sephiroth even after his HeelFaceTurn. Naturally, once Cloud is finally revived, he is ''not happy'' that he no one believed him until it bit them all in the ass.

Whether this implies that they teamed up or the Team Galactic leader being there is a FunnyBackgroundEvent remains to be seen.]]

* BeachEpisode: Entitled, "Everyone is at the Beach", it focuses on Luigi, who is [[AppearanceAngst uncomfortable about going out in just swimtrunks]] after seeing the more attractive fighters out and about.
