* SomewhereAnEntomologistIsCrying: The "flies" in episode three are house crickets. [[JustifiedTropeJustified]] in that it's a surreal show starring unreliable hosts and that crickets are easier to find, buy, and film.

* PerversePuppet: Averted. Diesel's creepy and sounds like the Devil, but he's easily the nicer guy between the two.

* VitriolicBestBuds: Lammigan occasionally treats Diesel like someone he wants to kill and occasionally like a dog, but they're firm friends. The pair met just after 9/11, when Lammigan -- for no specified reason -- shot Diesel in the head with a rubber bullet, tied him upside down, and doused him with gasoline.
-->'''Lammigan, fondly:''' Diesel, when you woke up that morning, I couldn't tell tears from gasoline and gasoline from urine.

''Little Lion's Den'' is a surrealist sketch comedy show. It features Landon Lammigan (a young man lathered in petroleum jelly and dressed in a dirty onesie) and Little Diesel (a puppet with a deep, synthesized voice) as they trade banter, share inane news segments and ominous life lessons, and interact with ridiculous guests.

The brainchild of brothers Nathan and Alex Ward, who also play the main duo, the series is filmed on old camcorders out of a Cleveland garage. It's been described as "a shell-shocked, LSD-drenched, doomsday-prepper version of Pee Wee’s Playhouse."
