* TakeThat: The premise of "Son, What is Clickbait?" is a jab at clickbait YouTubers as a whole, with Father particularly namedropping MrBeast.

** A similar scenario happens in "Bread Boys Training Program", where Father once again straps a bomb to Son's chest and attempts to make Son defuse it. Unfortunately, Father doesn't take into account that Son doesn't know how to defuse a real bomb (having only done so in "VideoGame/CounterStrike") or the fact that he himself is colorblind. [[spoiler:It ends with Father cutting the wrong wire and blowing up the house once again.]]

* DidntThinkThisThrough: In "Son, It's Not That Bad", Father decides to strap a bomb to Son's chest with a 1-minute countdown to defuse it as a way of mocking him. As the bomb gets closer to exploding, Son points out that if he lets the bomb explode it's not just going to kill him, but also will destroy the entire house with it. Cue a panicked Father desperately trying to push Son out the front door before it's too late. [[spoiler:He doesn't succeed.]]

* AchievementsInIgnorance: Father manages to pause ''VideoGame/CounterStrike2'' while Son is playing it, despite Counter-Strike being an ''online'' game that cannot be paused. When Son confronts him about it, Father admits he doesn't really know how he did it outside of just "hitting the pause button".

* INeedToGoIronMyDog: In "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXcbmUnutek Son, What Is A Simp]]'', once he remembers what the word "simp" really means (after Son called him one for his obsession with Biblical documentaries, then gave him a very "polite" definition of it when Father asked), he says that he overfilled the fish tank and that "it's probably drowning" before leaving the room... and then charging right back in for a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown on Son.

* CaughtWithYourPantsDown: In "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MriYw3C2r8 Son What's ERP]]", Father walks into Son's room to find him dry-humping a pillow while wearing a VR headset. Son pauses and turns towards Father, only to continue immediately after Father closes the door.

* GunNut: Father definitely qualifies as one.
