* DEBUNKED in Chapter 297. He lets John do that because he wants to atone himself for ruining children's lives and break the cycle of control.
* More like half-confirmed. He does wants to atone for his sins, but one of the ways he openly admits to doing that is letting students see the results of their society, by not restricting John. It's unknown if he has any plans to overthrow the government though.

They're both blue haired, and they have similar personas where they're both elitist assholes. Arnold would also be Zeke's connection to joining the authorities similar to how Valerie was how Arlo was brought into the authorities.

[[WMG:Arlo and Zeke are going to have a major fight at some point. Zeke will take the amplification drug to even out their PowerLevel for the duel.]]
They're the two students that were brought into the Authorities, and are at odds with one another given that Zeke's all about the evil government while Arlo's having doubts, and has become more of TheMole within the government to protect the other Wellston students. The other thing is regarding their PowerLevel, which Arlo is at 6.3 while Zeke is at 4.2. Add in the amplification drug known to temporarily increase one's ability by 50%, and Zeke goes up to 6.3. The ''exact'' same level as Arlo. Thus, you'll have an even duel between two 6.3's. A big reveal will be a [[TookALevelInBadass power increase]] for Arlo as it turns out that he had been training his ability.

What parent ''doesn't'' want their child to live in a stable society? She surrendered herself to the authorities to both get William a pardon for writing ''[=UnOrdinary=]'' and allow him to give John a decent upbringing. Her time at [=NXGen=] may actually be ''voluntary'', and helped form the basis of the authorities neutralizing the threat of god-tiers before they can upend society by the root. Should she have taken her chances defying the authorities and possibly putting her family on the run? She probably doesn't want to play this shitty game of politics at all, but this is her way of looking out for William and John.

[[WMG: They are using John's mother for the ability disabler.]]
The two unnamed underlings of Orrin say that the ability disabler forces a person's aura shut, essentially turning their power off. John has been able to use it by very little bursts now and then because his power is actively trying to interfere with the aura being disabled. We know his mother is in custody, and she has a staggeringly high number and a power that also has to do with auras.
