* The Children of the Watch follow the Way of Mandalore, with the Armorer explicitly mentioning Mandalore the Great, who waged war with the Jedi, similar to Mandalore the Ultimate who was defeated in singe combat by Revan. The Children of the Watch could disavow Viszla and the Darksaber because as an ''Aruetii'' Jedi, they feel he turned his back on his Mand’alor and was no longer one of them. Similar to Bo-Katan not accepting Maul as Mand’alor despite having defeated Pre Viszla in single combat for the Darksaber because he wasn’t a Mandalorian. NoTrueScotsman is a key trait in Mandalorian society, after all.

[[WMG: The Imperial March is actually an ancient battle hymn of the Galactic Republic and freedom fighters that the Empire claimed for itself]]
The Imperial March predates the Empire and is widespread even in-universe, to the point that during the Clone Wars it's hummed by ''a Separatist battle droid'' trying to breach a Republic escape pod. Considering the Empire's own symbol derives from the Republic's eight-spoked roundel, it would be in-character.

[[WMG: Tarre Viszla and Revan were one and the same]]
As ridiculous as it sounds, Revan’s backstory was never fleshed out before the Mandalorian Wars in legends. He was one of the Jedi Order’s most skilled strategists and his Revanchist movement was what turned the tide for the Republic against the Mandalorians in the outer rim.
*In canon we know even less about Revan, only that he was once a prominent Sith Lord, and barely know anything about Viszla, other than he was a Mandalorian Jedi that created the Darksaber.
*On the topic of the Darksaber, canon holds that the color of a Jedi’s lightsaber is determined when they find their kyber crystal, meaning Tarre found a black crystal. In legends, colors were symbolic for the Mandalorians, and black was symbolic for Justice. Revan went to war seeking justice for the Cathar and all the other peoples the Mandalorians had subjugated and killed during their onslaught.
*Canon also gives us the Children of the Watch faction of Mandalorians, who always have their helmets on around others but oddly don’t seem to revere the Darksaber, considering that Din Djarin doesn’t even know what it is until the season 2 finale of '' Series/TheMandalorian''. This could mean they don’t recognize the Darksaber as a legitimate symbol of leadership, and still revere the Mask of Mandalore, which disappeared in legends sometime before the Sacking of Coruscant, which incidentally was the event when the Darksaber was retrieved by the Mandalorians in canon.

[[WMG:The threats from within the Unknown Region are the Yuuzhan Vong.]]
In ''Thrawn'', Thrawn's description of them matches how in ''Legends'', the Chiss had no idea who or what the Vong were other than they were foreign invaders. And of course, we know that the Vong end up becoming a huge threat to the Galaxy later on in ''Legends''.
