[[WMG: Another alternative: The missing person in Altare's photo was X, a character from Flayon's backstory.]]
The DealWithTheDevil Flayon used to acquire his abilities may have erased X from existence, including from photos and memories (also explains why Altare had issues recalling the missing individual).

[[WMG: Building off the Time Lord Ame theory]]
One of the few things we learned about Hitomi Chris before she was ExiledFromContinuity was that she was supposed to be a time traveler from the future. Chris was never heard from again after her graduation, and Ame is widely suspected of meddling in Hololive's history (see: how Coco supposedly joined the company). If Ame's a Time Lord, then it's not a stretch to imagine that Chris was a previous regeneration of hers.

[[folder:Kureiji Ollie]]
[[WMG: The reason why Ollie is a zombie, but looks more like a FrankensteinsMonster...]]
It's because, while she may be a friendly neighborhood RevenantZombie, Ollie still '''is''' a zombie, and has to deal with the associated issues, such as her body being a rotting, festering mess. Obviously enough, for an idol, the idea of showing up in front of her audience with maggot-infested holes and limbs falling off is... not ideal, so, much like Joseph/Cartaphilus in ''Manga/TheAncientMagusBride'', Ollie resorted to... replacing failing patches of skin and body parts on occasion. Exactly '''where''' she gets these replacement parts is probably best left unpondered.

Simply knowing what will happen does not make her '''exempt''' from the rules. She cannot shape her own fate. She is a puppet very well aware of the strings, yet unable to do anything about them. It's a boring and existentially crushing existence. Of course, the fact that she would eventually give up this power is something she foresaw too, eons before it actually happened.

[[folder:Shiori Novella]]
[[WMG: Shiori has come in contact with [[EldritchAbomination The Ancient Ones]].]]

There are strong eldritch undertones about Shiori's whole shtick and The Ancient Ones are just the usual suspects for this kind of thing in ''hololive''. In addition to Ina, they have featured in Sana's backstory as well, so there's really no reason they couldn't be connected to yet another talent. If true, though, this opens up some interesting questions as to why Ina is allowed to run free while Shiori was imprisoned.

One interpretation could be that Ina, though she serves as the conduit of the Ancient Ones' power (manifesting in the form of her tentacles), does not have full knowledge of exactly what she's dealing with, while Shiori [[TheseAreThingsManWasNotMeantToKnow learned too much]] [[GoMadFromTheRevelation and got hit with the full weight of the truth]]. Speaking metaphorically, Ina has only ever seen the "limbs" of the Ancient Ones, while Shiori beheld the "face" in its full glory (explaining the dripping eye symbolism).

Another interpretation could be that trying to restrain Ina would bring forth the full wrath of the Ancient Ones, something the gods want to avoid, while Shiori did not have such a safety net.

And then a third interpretation is that Shiori's knowledge of the Ancient Ones [[RedHerring has nothing to do with the true reason she was imprisoned]]. This is perhaps the creepiest possibility of the bunch, since it means that the existence of horrifying extradimensional entities is somehow '''not''' the most disturbing and dangerous knowledge Shiori holds in her head, [[NothingIsScarier and just thinking about what could possibly be worse than that is unpleasant, to say the least]].

Added DiffLines:

* The sister theory to this is that this is all a double whammy and that La+ herself (presumably at the height of her power) intentionally chose this bird theming to make Lui into the figurehead of the organization while she played the eminence in shadow. Effectively, everything hinges on whether holoX was founded before La+'s sealing (in which case she would have been smart enough to pull a move like this) or after (in which case, while La+ is ''officially'' the founder, it's very likely that the society was actually founded as a result of Lui's machinations and to serve Lui's ends, not La+'s).

[[WMG: Akai Haato is slowly undergoing SanitySlippage]]
While not immediately obvious, the nature of Haato's content has become more unhinged as time has gone on; this has generally been attributed to her frustrations at being unable to return home due to pandemic lockdown, and thus basically being stranded in Melbourne until travel restrictions are lifted between Australia and Japan. This has been most evident in the type of content she is now creating. Before she was doing what would be considered par for the course of a Vtuber, but gradually slipped into short Vine-like videos of her attempts to cook or singing songs in English, with her voice considered deliberately screeching as she does so.
* {{Jossed}}. Haato addresses this in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHtXI2PSvoQ one of her streams]], explaining that her life in Australia in previous years was much worse than it is now, due to a neglectful host family with rude kids, and difficulty making friends in school. Nowadays her life is much better; she has a good friend and presumably lives in a different home with better hosts, and her latest videos are actually a reflection of her being happier and more confident in trying different things and generally doing what she wants. Or in other words, Haachama was insane all along, and simply feels more comfortable in expressing her true self nowadays. [[WMG: The Akai Haato vs Haachama arc is a result of fans' refusal to accept both Haachama and Haato as herself]]
At first, Akai Haato felt that her viewers were too distant compared to the viewers of her fellow Hololivers, and was frustrated by this, the same way that Tokino Sora is always expressing that she wants people to stop calling her "Sora-sama" or "a goddess". But, unlike Sora, Haato started changing a lot in order to achieve this. She told her fans they should call her "Haachama" instead of "Haato-sama" because it felt less distant. She also began to dive into some wackier territory for a self-proclaimed "seiso idol". During the boom of Hololive around summer 2020, her popularity skyrocketed. There were lots of new fans, especially from the English-speaking community, and many of them finding Haachama to be so entertaining simply because of how weird and eccentric her streams were. To keep up this momentum, she continued to just be a complete weirdo. \\
\\
But a lot of these newer fans and veteran Haatons alike noted just how much she had changed from debut. These changes were drastic, and different in nature compared to the other Hololive members. Most of the changes from debut consist of "seiso idol becomes screaming/crybaby gamer". They keep the same name and nicknames, same greeting and goodbye phrases, and so on. While some members switch up their BGM and intro/outros as time goes on, Haachama completely abandons her old themes and changes her greeting and goodbye phrases. \\
\\
When Akai Haato first resurfaced and streamed Minecraft, comments like "This is Haato's BGM!" would show up whereas if Korone uses her old BGM, people would comment "This is Korone's old BGM!". This supports the notion that people were separating the former Akai Haato and Haachama, rather than seeing Haachama as the evolution of the Akai Haato we knew from debut. Due to all these changes, memes about Haachama holding Akai Haato hostage or Haachama killing off Akai Haato and taking her place began to surface, as well as phrases like "RIP Akai Haato" or "Akai Haato in the basement". In light of this, Haachama officially brought the old Akai Haato back for a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTgFR1MSkWs Minecraft stream]], complete with her old BGM and old catchphrases. The next day, she posted a short video titled [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbEdlmzQftE "#FREEHAATO"]], seemingly in response to all the fans' memetic interpretation of her. For the next week, Akai Haato would be the one streaming. Her channel name was also changed to "Akaihaato" from "Haachama". Later, more clips were being posted on her channel, expanding on this "Akai Haato vs Haachama" lore, while the narrative of them being once inseparable is stressed often (which could very well be a metaphor for the both of them being the same person). \\
\\
Basically, this entire horror-inspired Akai Haato vs Haachama arc that's playing out is a result of her feeling as if no matter what she does, people will never be satisfied with her, and feeling as if no one will accept her for who she is. No matter what she does, the fans always want something different, while treating her as a trope who is either exclusively "sweet seiso idol" (Japanese preference) or a "crazy eccentric oddball" (Western preference), rather than herself, a real person with a multi-faceted personality. People don't want to accept that she is the same streamer they know and love, no matter which parts of her personalities she shows, and this arc will be a way of trying to confront this and easing the fans into accepting a version of her which consolidates both her "Akai Haato" personality and her "Haachama" personality.
* {{Jossed}}. As [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MtNLpWEhOc revealed in the finale]] of the HAACHAMA×Akaihaato arc, the entire arc is part of Haachama's "Secret Plan to Reach 1 Million Sub" project, where she [[https://twitter.com/akaihaato/status/1357252483114889218 stated that the plan for it is no-plan]]. She also explained that this holds true for the story where most of the development was done without much planning in advance, and that it was her own way of getting closer to her dream of becoming a seiyuu, indicating that there was no ulterior motive behind it.

Horus is an Egyptian deity with the head of a falcon. And who's the one in [=holoX=] with bird of prey motifs? It sure as hell ain't [[TheAllegedBoss La+]].

It's Lui, the BeleagueredAssistant who just so happens to be [[HypercompetentSidekick much more competent than her boss]] and effectively in charge of the organization because La+ is in no shape to actually lead anything, reducing her to the role of a fancy figurehead... makes one wonder, doesn't it..?

Seeing as how some of her memories along with her powers have been [[PowerLimiter sealed away]], and how La+ contradictorily [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpOftUA_gqY wants to be both a hero of justice and a tyrant ruling over the world]], it's entirely possible she actually forgot what her objectives were, and the other four play along because one, they don't want to upset her, and two, it provides good cover for whatever their true secret objective is. [[DarkIsNotEvil It might be they're not even an evil organization after all]], but even good motivations are sometimes better kept secret.
