In the canon story of ''My Hero Academia'', David Shield is the #1 scientist to what is essentially a colony of super-scientists who specializes in research into quirks, both in comprehending and improving their uses. If the plot of ''[[Anime/MyHeroAcademiaTheTwoHeroes The Two Heroes]]'' will in any way, shape or form be represented in the fanfic, an anomaly like Peter would most certainly fall under the radar of someone like David, especially if he sees Peter in action or finds out about Karen or the Iron Spider suit.

Various incarnations of the Spider-Man story like ''ComicBook/UltimateSpiderMan'' involve plots of people trying to recreate Spider-Man's amazing abilities for their own personal gain, so what would happen if someone like David figured out that Peter's powers are 100% artificial and could theoretically be copied. Knowing David, he could find potential in it as a way of giving All Might his powers (and perhaps crank up Peter's HealingFactor to undo All Might's crippling injuries a la ComicBook/{{Deadpool}}), or maybe even use it to "cure" quirklessness.

Power Loader basically proclaimed that both Peter's suit and Karen are two of the most advanced things he has ever seen, and since Power Loader is the Support Class teacher in a school like U.A., it is very likely that he has been to I-Island and is familiar with its many projects and advancements. To say that Stark-Tech is more advanced than all of that is high praise, and the more notoriety Peter gets the more people like David will want to get a reading on Peter and his powers. It is shown that he has machines and computers that can literally read the specks and stats of a quirk. So imagine what would happen if he saw Peter and either tricked Peter into letting himself get scanned by it or if David used a handheld version to scan him when he isn't looking.
