When Orinana talked about the Duke of Zill before the coup, he was shown as a skinny man with a beard. Then in a flashback we see that skinny man experimenting along with a fatter man, when they are both hit by an explosion. Oriana mentioned that the Duke was disfigured after the explosion, and at the end of that scene, the image focuses on the fat man who has a more disfigured appearance compared to the skinny one (although it could be just bad animation) and after focusing on the fat man, the scene dissolves to a photo of the Duke of Zill, implying that it was the fat man who became the Duke instead of the skinny one who was introduced as the Duke at first. It seems that the film forgot which one of the two men was the Duke.
