*** Except the stars in ''normal'' space are also older than the age of the universe. In reality, the star attributes are almost as [[ArtisticLicenseAstronomy hilariously senseless]] as the planet attributes, and little more than filler text.

Added DiffLines:

[[WMG: ''Series/{{Silversun}}'' is a distant prequel to EVE Online.]]
''Star Runner'' is aesthetically similar to many EVE ships, suggesting it is prototypical to their designs. It and its crew also use many technologies which are potentially prototypical to technologies frequently used in EVE Online:
* ''Star Runner'' demonstrates the capability of deploying DeflectorShields, which are frequently used in EVE.
* A [[spoiler: medical clone]] is seen in ''Silversun'', which are frequently used by Capsuleers.
* Brain-computer interfaces are shown via Pancha's implants. Both brain-computer interfaces and implants are used frequently by Capsuleers to enhance themselves and pilot their starships optimally.
* Computer-brain information transfer is demonstrated when information is uploaded directly into [[spoiler: the clone Will Power]]'s mind, as well as when Pancha is required to briefly retain the data from ''Star Runner'''s computer system. Once again, Capsuleers routinely use such technologies to gain new skills.
** [[spoiler: Will Power]]'s learning process after receiving a data upload even mimics Capsuleer skill training, as the uploaded information takes time to settle into its new patterns and become fully available to him; his skills at the uploaded tasks (playing chess, maths problems) show no immediate improvements but increase in leaps and bounds thereafter.
* It's even possible ''Star Runner'' may be making use of a prototype Warp Drive (or a device that would be considered a Micro Warp Drive by "modern day" EVE standards). Its engines occasionally flare similarly to a Micro Warp Drive activation when beginning manoeuvres, and this could also potentially explain various otherwise-nonsensical manoeuvres employed by it (which would be impossible by conventional physics), such as stopping and turning around without completely destroying its originally planned course (and fuel efficiency/availability).
** Warp bubble malfunctions/interactions would also make more sense of the [[spoiler: InvisibleMainCharacter]] effect that affects members of the ''Star Runner'' crew at one point, making much more sense than a mere [[spoiler: grav-lift/gravity-surge]] interaction.
* Sheng is briefly seen attempting [[spoiler: and eventually succeeding in, with the assistance of Tycho]] a matter-transference experiment that looks none too dissimilar to a Jump Drive activation. [[spoiler: Presumably by the time of the Capsuleer era, the effects of such teleportation on matter structural integrity have been dealth with.]]

Wormholes also make appearances in both, acting reasonably similarly and analogously; it's easily possible countermeasures to their data-wiping effects have been found by the beginning of the Capsuleer era.

* Or, the wormholes lead back to the Milky Way... in the ''present''. Eventually, some EVE player will find Sol, just in time for the launch of the WorldOfDarkness MMO.
