This is hinted at by Hannibal's intro (where he's wheeled up BoundAndGagged in a straitjacket and his [[CoolMask signature muzzle]] by an asylum attendant, only to be released from the restraints while Jack is giving his first verse), and a couple of Hannibal's lines. In Lecter's first verse, he bemoans "Pity your verse wasn't worth the trip in the jacket", implying that he got out of prison just to challenge Jack to a rap battle, and his final lines of the second verse ("Barney, take me back to solitary confinement (complete with the asylum attendant coming back to wheel out Hannibal), 'cause this little dirty lamb has just been ''silenced.''") implies that he was released just to defeat Jack in the Rap Battle.
