[[WMG: Emily will get revenge on Yul]]
While Yul has no problem firing Emily  after getting tired of making his fans think he and Grett are a thing, he seems to have forgotten that she can dig drama out of the confessionals, meaning she can most likely expose his confession from Episode 9 as payback for getting fired in front of Grett. After all, if Yul thinks he can win without Grett as a "saving grace" for audience popularity, then we'd like to see him try.

Next episode (Episode 10), the Yellow Team will lose in order to keep the teams more balanced in terms of both number of victories/losses and the remaining teammates, with Yul [[HatedByAll obviously voted out]] once Grett finally stands up for herself. Since a staff member being caught cheating likely refers to Emily helping him out with Grett, he might also be given some sort of punishment, like MK at the start of the merge in the second season of the reboot, which might contribute to his team's loss and provide another reason to vote him out. The Yellow Team (or at least Alec) might also try to help Gabby complete the challenge in at least the second place to prevent her from being voted out by Aiden and Tom. Then, the merge will start in Episode 11 (or 12 if 11 focuses on a challenge for eliminated players to return), with exactly 3 members on each team. This is also when a returning contestant will be revealed, expanding the merge to a nicely rounded number of the final 10. This will also continue the trend of the number of mergers growing with each season, from 8 in remastered Season 1 and 9 in Season 2 to 10 post-return in All-Stars.
