Dewicking per TRS decision.

* BiTheWay: In addition to being a possible love interest with his own route, Keiichi is not shy about expressing his attraction to OMI. In Shinobu's route there are some indications that he has feelings for both Shinobu and the protagonist.

* MessOnAPlate: The protagonist is a food-lover and a good cook, but judging by the reactions of other characters, the food she makes tends to look uniformly horrible even though it tastes just fine. This seems to be mostly coming from an attitude that what a meal ''looks'' like doesn't affect the taste; when Masaomi complains about her cheap dishes, she asserts that it tastes just as good on a cheap plate as an expensive one, and is surprised when he counters that how food is presented affects how good people think it will be.

Unsurprisingly he finds this tiresome, and the fact that the protagonist has no interest whatsoever in fangirling over him is one of the things that attracts him to her.

''Serendipity Next Door'' is a RomanceGame VisualNovel by Creator/VoltageInc for iOS and Android devices.

The protagonist is an ordinary office worker with relatively ordinary problems: she's running too late to work to make breakfast or fix her hair. Her upstairs neighbors coming back from their honeymoon brought her back a souvenir of embarrassing underwear. Her boss has just transferred her to a new department and she's got a whole list of new responsibilities to learn. And her bicycle tire has up and gone flat on a day when it's pouring down rain. She's not particularly interested in the famous singer OMI or the fact that he's suddenly gone on a hiatus...

...until she discovers he's her new next-door neighbor.

The discovery touches off a whole series of unexpected interactions with the other unusual tenants of her building, including the hotshot photographer, the young veterinary student, her landlord, and of course OMI himself, who is not exactly what she'd have expected from a famous musician. Although she didn't want to have anything to do with any of them, somehow talking out on the balcony starts to become a part of her daily routine...

!!The visual novel includes examples of the following tropes:

* CloudCuckoolander: Masaomi is a genius musician, focused on his music to the exclusion of all else... which means that he lives almost entirely on energy drinks, nutritional supplements, and beer, refuses to bother with doing anything that might take up energy he could be devoting toward music, and generally seems to have no common sense whatsoever. The protagonist has a hard time reconciling the starstruck behavior of the OMI fans around her with the odd, puzzling, and occasionally very frustrating reality of the man.
* CrashIntoHello: In the prologue, the protagonist's first encounter with Masaomi occurs when she accidentally plows into him on her bicycle in her rush to get to work.
* DoNotCallMePaul: Keiichi insists that everyone call him Byron, as in [[Creator/LordByron the poet]].
* {{Fangirl}}: The protagonist's boss, Shoko, is a terrifyingly enthusiastic OMI fangirl. She keeps a box full of his CDs at her desk and the news of his hiatus has her practically in tears. Amusingly, both Izumi and Keiichi are equally avid fans.
* GroupieBrigade: Always a hazard when Masaomi is out in public. People tend to start flocking, {{Squee}}ing, and pulling out cell phones for pictures whenever someone recognizes him as OMI.
* LiterallyLovingThyNeighbor: The basic premise of the game. Each of the protagonist's prospective love interests lives in her apartment building, with Masaomi in particular right next door and Izumi directly across the hall.
* MeetCute: In addition to her CrashIntoHello with Masaomi, the protagonist's first meeting with Izumi also counts - her bicycle tire goes flat just outside the pet store where he works, and he lets her leave the bike there overnight and lends her an umbrella to use for the walk home. Only afterward do they discover that they live in the same building.
* NoSenseOfDirection: Masaomi not only has no sense of direction, he's almost completely incapable of reading a map as well.
* StageNames: Masaomi Hibiya performs under the name OMI - yes, in all caps.
