It has a battle system that plays similarly with rhythm games with three icons; Leek makes Miku attack, Red Shield is to defend against the enemy's attack, and Green Shield makes Miku recovers her HP (and MP if the timing is Perfect). **The Eggplant Juice has no effect by itself, but if you has the Eggplant Club Card key item (given by Gakupo), you can activate the feature available at Fourth Day to make it boost MP by 3-5 points in subsequent runs.
*RouteBoss: The Beach route of Day 2 has a mandatory boss fight against a LivingStatue.
*SwissArmyWeapon: The Leek Saber can change function depends what form Miku's currently in. However, Append Form apparently ditches it.
** In Sword Form, it become a sword capable of launching RazorWind.
** In Gun Form, the Saber turns into a rifle.
** In Alien Form, it become an antenna on Miku's head and grants her PsychicPowers.
*StoryBranching: In this game, your choices may causes the story of current run changes, either major or minor. Some of the major ones:
** How you found Len when asked by Gakupo in the First Day determines where Miku will spend the Second Day. One leads to the Forest route, while the another leads to the Beach route.
** Also, when Miku and the Kagamines decided to visit the internet cafe in the Beach Route, you can challenges and then lose to [[spoiler: Black Miku]], which makes Miku's body broke down and must be repaired on the Crypton Headquarters.
*SurpriseParty: [[spoiler: The game ends in Fourth Day when the other Vocaloids throwing a birthday party for Miku at 00:00 AM.]]
*SituationalDamageAttack: Normally, Miku's Electro attack deals moderate damage. However, against mech enemies, it deals 3x damage of Miku's base attack.[[spoiler:This includes Yuki and Kiyoteru, since they're Vocaloids.]]
*UnaffectedBySpice: Meiko has no problem eating the level 99 ramen, which is hellishly spicy.
*UpgradeVsPrototypeFight: Applies if you decided to challenge [[spoiler:Black Miku]] in the Internet Cafe. [[spoiler:if you lose, in Day Three you learn at the Crypton Headquarters that Black Miku is a combat android based on Miku's blueprint, making the former the upgrade and the later the prototype combat-wise.]]
