** Using the radio command to "Locate Resources" actually ''generates'' the resource. In the previous game, it would only locate a remaining rucksack in an unlooted location -- once they were all gone, they were gone forever. But for 35 influence the game will stick a fresh rucksack in one of the indicated locations. Thus, resources will never run out.

** Using the radio command to "Locate Resources" actually ''generates'' the resource.resource if it's no longer available naturally; normally, it'll just point the player to the appropriate storefront. In the previous game, it would only locate a remaining rucksack in an unlooted location -- once they were all gone, they were gone forever. But for 35 influence the game will stick a fresh rucksack in one of the indicated locations. Thus, resources will never run out.

Lieutenant Meredeth's broadcasts are uplifting, patriotic RousingSpeech, but their leader Teresa West also briefly discusses "getting rid of" "troublemakers" from survivor communities, and there are claims from other survivors that Red Talon is running forced labor camps, notably Camp Erie. Meredeth denies it, as does Sasquatch, but Sasquatch also notes [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial if they were, it would be necessary given the situation the country is in]].

* [[ScrappyMechanic Scrappy Game Mode:]] The consensus seems that ''very'' few [=SOD2=] fans enjoy Daybreak. It's extremely grindy, it has the exact same zombies per wave every single time, and the tiny game map never changes... so, the experience never changes. To unlock the higher tier stuff, you'll have to play this game ''dozens'' of times. Worse, to buy more CLEO ammo in the standard game, you have to earn more prestige by playing this game mode. And worst of all, the game is very, very, '''VERY''' stingy about giving you prestige points. A Daybreak game lasts 50 minutes and you'll only get 500 prestige -- which isn't even enough to buy a full clip of submachine gun ammo. It quickly becomes a chore to play this mode, and if you want to use CLEO weapons in the base game, you'll be forced to play it a ''lot.''
** While the CLEO weapons are superior to the base game weapons, that's only true by a very small margin. It hardly seems worth spending hours grinding away in a repetitive slog for a weapon that performs just marginally better than the standard armament.

** Hostile humans are this. They're just as fast and capable of dodging as your survivors, but a single headshot will bring them down. That said, if you try to melee them you'll find they're able to take an astonishing number of crowbar hits to the face. They upgrade to LightningBruiser status on higher difficulties, especially Nightmare or Lethal, as they have massive health pools and can no longer be killed with one headshot. Thankfully, fighting them is very rare.

* DifficultySpike: The ''Heartland'' DLC is much more difficult than the base game in many respects:
** Every zombie is a plague carrier. Yes, including ferals.
** Ferals can now survive ''multiple'' headshots (landing just one was tough enough given how fast and erratic their movement is).
** Juggernauts are tougher, deadlier, and the "sidestep them while they charge" trick no longer works.
*** Also, [[spoiler: an early mission makes you deal with one out in the open. Fortunately, you're not required to kill it, and the best strategy is to simply run after retrieving the MacGuffin.]]
