* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: One of the songs is "Step!", which comes from VideoGame/TheIdolmaster and is completely unrelated to the Sonic franchise. The song itself is also completely unchanged from the source material.

* ObviousBeta: At present, this trope applies to the songs "Ice Cube", "YCR Encore (Sonic Boom Mix)" and "Prey (Good Future)". Justified, however, due to the early release of what's currently playable.
** For "Ice Cube", only half of the song has vocals, indicating its unfinished state.
** For "YCR Encore (Sonic Boom Mix)", the sprites are unfinished for Sonic.EXE, and Boyfriend's sprites and mechanic are taken directly from "Ice Cube". Compared to "Ice Cube", however, the song's fully finished.
** "Prey (Good Future)" is mostly unfinished, as while the song is fully charted, most of the animations and mechanics have yet to be implemented.

#Chocolate Milk (Sunky)

* PromotedToPlayable: In the upcoming song, "Gamebreaker", Pico takes on DX alone in comparison to his planned supporting role in the original mod.

** "Prey Good Future" uses Genesis-accurate effects to bring the revamped song to life, such as fading, the title card and in/out movement for sprites, and even pausing the game replicates the classic limits.
* UnintentionallyUnwinnable: At the moment for ''Prey (Good Future)'', the scroll speed for the charting is much quicker than the player can react, meaning it's extremely difficult to beat the song for now. A fix for now is to either use Botplay or to set the scroll speed to 0.8 in debug.

* DependingOnTheArtist: Tails Doll has 3 different appearances, one for each of it's songs. In "Soulless", it's appearance is based off of it's cameo in [[WebAnimation/SonicShorts Sonic Shorts Volume 2]]. In "Sunshine OG", it's rendered in 3D polygonal graphics, as a nod to it's debut game VideoGame/SonicR, and in "Sunshine Encore" it takes on an unshaded 2D version of it's appearance in "Sunshine OG".

* AdaptationalSpeciesChange: Like the Encore Mode of ''Vs [=Sonic.EXE=]'' before it, Boyfriend is seen in his blue rabbit appearance for all the songs (aside from "Sunshine OG") that he shows up in. This also applies to Pico taking on an orange hedgehog appearance for "DX".

* ForgoneVictory: Seems to be the case for "Too Slow Sillycore", as if the player misses enough times that their health drops to the lowest point, instead of Boyfriend getting blue-balled, the health bar just resets, meaning that they can't actually lose the song.
