* CoupDeGraceCutscene: All of the major Titan bosses feature one of these, some containing {{Action Command}}s, and others being a cinematic that plays once Sonic depletes the boss' HP bar:
** After GIGANTO's HP has been reduced to 0 and Sonic attacks its head while it's staggered, Super Sonic plunges through its stomach, coming out the other side, where GIGANTO then explodes after impact.
** After WYVERN's HP is reduced to a certain amount, the boss will then [[DeathFromAbove charge towards Sonic from above]], with the player required to pull off a few [[PressXToNotDie QTE sequences]] to survive and stop its impact. Following that, WYVERN will fire several missiles at Sonic, where after succeeding the timed press, he will fly around and redirect the projectiles towards the Titan. The final QTE of the scene requires Sonic to forcibly open its jaw, where [[ThrowDownTheBomblet the missiles fly down its mouth]] and destroy the Titan from the inside. If the player misses any of these [=QTEs=], then it's an instant kill.
** The KNIGHT also has two back-to-back, with the first scene triggering when Sonic locks-on and attacks the head of the Titan. Sonic must first [[BladeCatch stop the KNIGHT's blade with his hands]], where he's then thrown into a mountain while holding the sword. After managing to hold off the sword, he kicks it away, facing it down in a non-interactive cinematic. He dodges the sword, then punches the Titan sky high, which causes the sword to fly into the nearby volcano. Sonic then proceeds to use his Cyloop to ''lift the sword'' and then bisect the KNIGHT with his own weapon, [[DiagonalCut splitting it in two]] and finishing it off. Failing any of these [=QTEs=] will also instantly kill Sonic.
** The base game's final boss, [[spoiler:and fourth Titan, SUPREME, doesn't have one, where the boss simply falls over after being defeated by Super Sonic. However, Sonic and Sage then fly into space to fight THE END, where either the final QTE sequence will play immediately (on Normal or lower difficulties) or after you battle it in the space shooter segment for the TrueFinalBoss. Regardless, Sonic will first hold off a beam of light that is fired at him, until Sage helps defend against it. Once the laser is shaken off, [[FastballSpecial Sage throws the hedgehog into the moon like a baseball]] using SUPREME, where Sonic has to succeed three [=QTEs=], which will penetrate THE END's moon form. However, [[TakingYouWithMe it then tries to destroy itself along with Sage and Sonic]], forcing the AI to sacrifice itself in order to end the battle]].
** The final boss of the Final Horizon update, [[spoiler:THE END possessing SUPREME, first has Super Sonic kicking the Titan straight into the air, before following it up with several [[RapidFireFisticuffs punches and kicks that they look like streaks of light]], which carry THE END higher and higher. Sonic then cinches it with one last timed [=QTE=] punch, sending it soaring and immobile in the air. Another cinematic then plays after that, where Eggman commands Sonic to get into the SUPREME's rifle, with Sonic acting as the bullet. Sonic then proceeds to unleash all of the power he was holding back with the Cyber Corruption, transforming into Super Sonic Cyber. Eggman then powers up the cannon, aims, and fires Sonic right at the prone SUPREME, which Sonic destroys in a single hit, followed by THE END's moon form shortly afterwards]].

* MillionToOneChance: Sage ran millions of calculations after Eggman gets trapped in cyber space in order to find the best way to protect him from [[spoiler:THE END]], unable to find a way to defeat it and guarantee his safety. [[spoiler:However, once Sonic is saved by his friends after climbing the Rhea Island towers, Sage realizes the one calculation she didn't account for was [[EnemyMine the two enemies working together]]. In the base game, Sonic and Sage succeed in defeating THE END, but at the cost of Sage's life]]. Exaggerated in the ''Another Story'' scenario from the "Final Horizon" update, [[spoiler:where according to Sage, there was one possibility that was so implausible among her millions of simulations, she didn't even consider it. Sonic, a master of overcoming the odds, agrees to this one plan, where she manages to bring all of Sonic's friends back from their digital prison and enact a plan to hopefully defeat THE END]]. This plan goes off without too many hiccups, [[spoiler:in which Sonic and Eggman defeat THE END, this time without needing to sacrifice Sage]].

** The base game's ending is the same whether you complete it on Hard or not. [[spoiler:Sage takes control of the defeated SUPREME and flies it to space, where she and Super Sonic face off against THE END. Though they’re successful in defeating it, their victory comes at the cost of Sage, who sacrifices herself in order to stop a last-ditch attack from THE END. Though Eggman mourns the loss of his "daughter" in silence, completing the game on Hard mode yields a post-credits scene of Sage being somehow restored by Eggman]].
** The Final Horizon update's GoldenEnding [[spoiler:has THE END directly assume control of the defeated SUPREME as an avatar, mutating its form and puppeteering it as if it was a feral beast. Empowered by the Cyber Corruption, Super Sonic manages to disarm and later completely destroy THE END, in part thanks to Dr. Eggman taking control of SUPREME’s rifle and using Sonic as a bullet against THE END. Unlike the base game ending, Sage survives all the way through, with the final shot being of her and Eggman watching the starfall together]].
