The second season, ''[[http://store.steampowered.com/app/633060/Orwell_Ignorance_is_Strength/ Orwell: Ignorance is Strength]]'', was announced in August 2017 and released in weekly installments beginning February 22, 2018. Moving away from the explicit focus on surveillance, this season focused on media and the "fake news" phenomenon. In ''Ignorance is Strength'' the player is assigned to The Office, a top-secret intelligence agency within The Nation's government, where they are given a more sophisticated version of Orwell and tasked with locating a Pargesian military officer who received a threatening phone call before he mysteriously disappeared. Again, all is not what it seems.
