''Onslaught'' ([=MadSecta=] in Japan) is a 2009 {{FPS}} action game made by Creator/HudsonSoft for the UsefulNotes/{{Wii}}.

Set in the future, mankind have begun migration into outer space and colonialization of various uninhabited planets. The Insterstellar Alliance of Nations, establishing a Space Development Bureau, seeks to find new homes for the human colonists by utilizing a bio-weapon called the EIC (Enhanced Insect Cyborgs) - made by combining insect DNA with nanomachines - where spacecraft loaded with samples of the EIC will unload them on alien worlds for terraforming the environment before allowing humans to land.

But as luck would have it, a supply ship filled with EIC insects went missing. When a distress call from a human colony is picked up from Planet HS-0204, it turns out the insects have escaped, started multiplying, and their numbers growing out of control. And its up to you and your team of elite SpaceMarines to take on a swarm of alien bugs.

A multiplayer-mode and versus-mode is available for up to four players.

Unrelated to the [[ComicBook/{{Onslaught}} comic book character]].
----
!! ''Onslaught'' provide examples of:
* ActionBomb: Most of the alien insects' sole attacks have them tackling at you and exploding, drenching you with their acidic blood.
* AirborneMooks: Alien wasps are among the recurring enemies in the game.
* AlienBlood: The alien insects bleeds green gunk when shot to bits. Their blood happens to be quite acidic as well, requiring you to swipe the Wii to avoid getting hit.
* BugWar: Between humans and gigantic rampaging insect monsters on an alien wasteland.
* CameraAbuse: Your field of vision will constantly be splattered with alien gunk for most of the game, either by their ranged attacks or when you're too close to alien bugs when they explode. As the aliens' blood are lethal, you'll need to swipe the Wii remote before the acid hurts you.
* {{Catchphrase}}: "That's why you're still a kid!" - said whenever you score a combo, regardless whether there are any fellow marines still remaining around you.
* {{Cyborg}}: The various insectoid enemies you spend the whole game blowing apart turns out to be half-mechanical, being insects combined with {{Nanomachines}} for terraforming purposes.
* EnemyDetectingRadar: One is granted on the upper-right corner of the screen, thanks to your helmet having an automated HUD system.
* GrenadeLauncher: One of the earlier and better weapons you cna collect for taking down large clusters of bugs.
* LightningLash: You can obtain a whip made of laser energy to slap apart alien bugs into chunks like no tomorrow, in situations where there's too many of them closing on you. It's a surprisingly effective weapon despite limitations in range, though it needs to be recharged after extended use.
* MonsterProgenitor: [[spoiler:The FinalBoss battle sees you facing the bug queen, in her lair filled with eggs and plenty of enemies swarming over you]]. You're in for a tough fight by this point!
* OneWordTitle: Just "Onslaught". It refers to the hordes and hordes of alien bugs you spend the whole game mowing down.
* OrganicTechnology: Some of the alien bugs in later stages have organic laser cannons and energy blasters growing from inside their mouths.
* PowerupMount: The armored buggy you control in one stage, complete with twin [[GatlingGood Gatling guns]] for you to mow down incoming bugs.
* ScaryScorpions: The largest, strongest, GiantMook-grade alien bugs are scorpion monsters that towers absolutely over the players, and can take far greater damage than regular bugs. Later stages even give them an upgrade to fire lightning bolts from their barbs.
* SpaceMarines: You play as one, just like every good sci-fi shooter where you battle against alien monsters.
* ZergRush: In the cavern levels where you uncover the nests of alien bugs, expect to be constantly swarmed by the lowest-level alien insects. Expectedly you'll need to save plenty of grenades for such occasions.
