FNAF Security Breach reveals the playtester's fate

** It's also very possible that Glitchtrap has [[spoiler:already successfully possessed Tape Girl midway through the tapes]]. Following her orders [[spoiler:gets the player killed, and she introduces herself twice]]. The first time, it's normal, the second time, [[spoiler:she says "Hello. Can you hear me?", which is how Glitchtrap introduces himself]].
** Alternatively, rather than [[spoiler:possessing Tape Girl, Glitchtrap has been trying to imitate her voice in an attempt to toy with the player and make his goal of escaping into the real world easier, since it wouldn't make sense for Glitchtrap to still be in the game if he's already escaped into the real world through Tape Girl]]. This idea is supported by the fact that [[spoiler:Glitchtrap's voice is a heavily distorted version of Tape Girl's when she says "Hello. Can you hear me?" More importantly, a few of the Tapes seem rather inconsistent compared to the rest: Tape 1, which contains the "Hello. Can you hear me?" introduction, not only paraphrases several key points from the rest of the tapes, but also contains inconsistencies such as Jeremy trying to destroy the glitch and Tape Girl's company shutting down — details that are inconsistent with (or, at the very least, never mentioned in) any of the other Tapes. Besides, it's rather odd for Tape Girl to suddenly and inexplicably come up with a solution to defeat Glitchtrap in Tape 16 when she'd given up on doing anything other than containing the glitch in earlier tapes, especially since she never bothered to implement it herself. It is entirely possible that after Tape Girl recorded most of the tapes, Glitchtrap attempted to falsify some tapes of his own while mimicking Tape Girl's voice, which would explain why the "solution" in Tape 16 ''doesn't destroy him.'']]

** Funtime Foxy's level brings back [=HandUnit=]'s instructions from ''Sister Location'', befitting the level being a recreation of the player's visit to Funtime Auditorium, but it highlights the VocalEvolution [=HandUnit=] underwent, as the voicefile is slightly deeper and less loud than every other voiceline he speaks in the entire game.
** Circus Baby (and by extension the [=PlushBabies=]) use a lot of voicelines originally spoken by Scrap Baby, which are more aggressive in tone than Circus Baby's normal voice, but fit with her aggressive behavior in her level. However, the line "Let's see how many pieces I can cut you into" becomes an artifact because it is a direct reference to Scrap Baby's claw hand, which Circus Baby does not have.[[note]]The claw that Scrap Baby wears as her right hand is taken from the claw in Circus Baby's stomach she uses when luring and kidnapping children, but it thus was originally designed for grabbing, not cutting, and she doesn't extend the claw anywhere in ''Help Wanted''.[[/note]]

Steel Wool released a "Flat" update on December 17th, 2019. This update enabled the game to be played without a VR headset. October 26th, 2020 saw the release of the game's mobile port, which cuts down many levels while adding a new one of its own.

* HauntedCastle: "Princess Quest" is set in a medieval castle during a stormy night. The player character seems to be a princess, although her features are blank.

* SomethingCompletelyDifferent: ''Foxy's Pirate Ride'' in the ''Curse of Dreadbear'' DLC is an on-rails shooter, and the only animatronic present is the stationary Foxy who welcomes you to the ride and explains how to beat the level. There's also only one jumpscare, but it's a cardboard cutout of Foxy and doesn't kill you. [[spoiler:Subverted should you hit Helpy whenever he appears. You're still playing on an on-rails shooter, but hitting him means he'll send you on 3 entirely different tracks throughout the ride, where Jack-O-Bonnie and Jack-O-Chica ''do'' come out to play and kill.]]
* StealthPun: ''Foxy's Pirate Ride'' is an on-rails shooter, themed around a shooting dark ride...

* BadDreams: One of the possible side effects from playing the game in the opening narration. Going by the tapes, Jeremy seemed to have been suffering from them as a result of beta-testing the game.

* BatFamilyCrossover: The game's levels include settings and animatronics from games 1-5 (not counting FNAF World, presumably.) Most interestingly, some of the characters from ''Sister Location'' (Circus Baby, Funtime Freddy, Bon-Bon, and Bonnet most prominently) appear in the house from ''4''.
